oh and as an aside, even if they don't patch the x-shard trades before opening Cho, they could always reset Cho on thursday (two days wouldn't be a horrible loss.. ). Now wouldn't that be a slap in the face to anyone that "exploited" LOL!

brilliant post :D

I don't think this is what will happen you know, paraphrasing a lot the first two rules of running a MMO are:

1) Never trust the client
2) Never trust the players, they will find a way to exploit the game in a hundred way's you've never thought of ;)

but this one is really obvious, they can disable ring terminals on Cho or I'm sure put stops in place some other way. At least 51% of me thinks they will. The problem is someone could just say 'don't worry, we've got it covered' and do away with all this evil speculation, and they havent.

cross server trading needs to be limited, exploits will happen using aajoleas technique. alt guilds powerleveling with cats gained on aristople to use on cho to gain levels to get the best OP mats/ more cats/ more boss mats to pass back again, would ruin balance. I`m all for a new server if trades are ceased or limited, its a very big step in the right direction :)

once again, stop cross server trades please. it will ruin the balance, cho will become the joke server and ruin genuine new players first experiences.

A new server open & suddenly all the OP owners find themselves alone on Aristople ;)

Hello?!

So much speculation upon the tiniest little detail. So much speculation based upon the premise that the community will spoil what Nevrax may give us to play with. We are the community, we can choose what we like. I have read innumerable opinions saying that someone else would do this and farm that, which therefore justifies whoever does it first? Such reasoning, and I apply the term loosely, is precisely what hundreds of generations of human civilization have managed to rise above, so achieving progress.

Oh goddess. This is just the cutest little thread. I like the idea of a new server, maybe I can finally get an avi with my first choice name. Of course, there is no way that I am going to go back and grind from the beginning again...although, I have been thinking about re-doing nuke...anyway.

I'm sure the Devs have it covered. They are probably laughing their butts off, and loving making you guys squirm. Dont worry so much guys. They get paid for a reason.

I don't buy the US players are PVP focused Karavan players while Europeans are mainly peaceful Kami roleplayers, if that is what you suggest Grimjim. And dividing the shards in one more PVP'ish and one more RP'ish would really be awful.
It would also make event timing easier for the Guides and mean they wouldn't have to be immersion-breakingly redone several times.

Again, people apparently can't read.

US players aren't all PvP focussed Karavan players but there is a definate tendency which, in tandem with other factors contributes to the Karavan dominance of Arispotle. It is not one factor, but several.

Dividing them on playstyle groups would, IMO, be an even better solution because the goals of the two playstyle groups are very different. I don't expect them to do that though and it doesn't help with either events or the OP battle timer problem.
