totally of topic but if your gunna lvl PR digging choice best thing to do is start where you plan to end up wastelands and underspring, that way you know the place inside out after 200 lvls, what i did and now i know what mobs should be where, what is supreme in what season and where spots are, when your lvl 250 which is everyones aim you dont often venture into lower lvl lands
off topic but meh
oh and plus their not PvP

i did it the other way, went through lower level zones. my experience was each time i went up a zone i'd spend a week or 2 dying, swearing and convinced the aggro was too horrible to dig. but soon i'd get used to it... wastelands took a bit longer, but now i can walk from one side to the other with no problems.
guess it just depends how brave you are, and we all know kye is big and bad and mean

having to dig mats for sub ql 200 gear i often go to umbra.. the place is prety much deserted compared to when i was lvling it. this is mainly due to the now very strict pvp healing rules and the masive fame neede for tp's.
to rundll i say... it's how you chose to play the game mate ppl there will always be ppl that will complain however you play the game.
to everyone else... if you just want to grind your pr lvls come to wastelands and i'll happily dig your spots but if ya need sub ql 200 sups umbra is by far the easiest
resistance jewls don't need to have hp boosts

* Hates when an interesting discussion gets in full swing while on holiday *
Came in late so I'm not gonna contribute much except to say I disagree totally with this:
dbritt wrote:because that is the game we decided to play
Actually it isn't at all. The game
I decided to play didn't HAVE PvP. Unless I am having a massive memory lapse (well I have been to sleep a few times since), none of what this thread was originally discussing (PR ganking) was implemented when the game went retail. There were no PvP zones in PR at release. So anyone who has played this game from day one didn't choose THAT game.

Bah,
I'm gonna hate to say this even more than you're gonna hate to read it, buuut.... if you're being picky, you "choose" "this game" everytime your sub autorenews... so unless you've had a sub that has only charged your CC once, you've chosen it by proxy
Edit: Note: italics for emphasis so people *don't* mistake this with the "if you don't like it; quit" argument - that's not what I'm trying to say.

It's called hope, promise and 'soon'(tm).
Hope that they'll return to developing the original direction and individuality of the game we signed up to.
Promise that a greater emphasis on PvE will be made again now and that lots of interesting 'little things' will eventually come along.
Soon... that these will come before too long.

I had a feeling that argument would pop up.
In the end it comes down to the fact that I still love the PvE elements of the game. The elements that I CHOSE to play in the beginnning.
The game evolves, fact of life really, some bits of it I don't like and I avoid. I CHOOSE not to get involved in those elements. I guess what some players don't like is the fact that they can't go to some parts of Atys without being forced to accept some elements of the game. In this instance it's PvP, it could just as easily be something else. I'm sure very few people actually choose to go to PR and be ganked.
EDIT: and let's face it the original statement I quoted said "decided" not decide every day - i.e. when we originally started playing.
