I don't remember making any real progress at Woodburn. We got into the OP once, but the defending forces came back and wiped us pretty quickly. After that, we couldn't make any further progress. I'm not complaining; it was a good solid fight, but it does seem that non-Karavan forces were pretty well represented at that fight.
Also remember that this is the first OP the Karavan forces have taken in the traditionally Kami lands. Yes, we've made other attempts and so have the Kamists made their attempts. To date, all other attempts have been rebuffed. "Lost Valley", I hear you say? That was given to CoM. We didn't win that in combat; it was a gift.
I'm not going to comment on the actual numbers since the /who is broken, there was no way to know for sure. But, Heavyn is right that the Karavan forces wiped in the attack on Malmont, not once, but twice, before we finally gain controlled of the situation. I don't remember getting a lot of calls for "LFG" after each wipe; I don't think we added more people to the battle in the middle. So, I can only presume we either got our PvP groove together in a fairly balanced fight after the 2nd wipe *or* many of Kamists left the battle early. Either way, it's hardly time to break out the complete surrender flag on the Kami side, is it?
Here's a fun homework assignment for someone like Marjo: Query Arispotle's character list: Count number of toons that have logged on in the last couple weeks, group by faction allegiance. What is the kami/kara/neutral population? Do it again but this time group by guild-faction that each person belongs to. How unbalanced are we, really? Oh, it wouldn't be a perfect count, but it would give a truer sense of it the actual balance than the current methods we have.
(no, it won't surprise me if she says she can't do that, but it would be interesting to know)
