Just a minor point to add here....

Pre and post craft stats do vary by the following formula:

Postcraft = ((Precraft * .8) +20)

So.... we all (for the most part) use 97/97 zun amps.... the precraft stat of which is 96..... 96*.8 = 76.8 (rounds to 77) + 20 = 97. The amps we've grown to love.

Well.....

96 + 20 (mythical 20% bonus) = 116

116 * .8 = 92.8 + 20 (the pre / post craft adjustment) = 112.8 ... or (approximately)... the stats on these amps.

So... there's always that to consider.

Or.... we could always just call someone we don't know and have never spoken one word to a liar.

that's the part I don't get in general (pretty new to OP thingie) is that 20% wrt the final stat, wrt the max of 100?, precraft, postcraft?

what if the boost applies but the item degrades? still gets that 20?

for example:

making Q250 83/83 excel zun amps.... the pre craft stat is 79/79... if the craft is successful.... you get your (for example) Q250 83/83 amp. If the craft is degraded... the stats degrade along with the Q of the amp (sword, armor, etc). Is the degrade linear... i.e. the more the degrade... the more the stat loss.... yes. How much so I have to actually record. I can say though... crafting my sup 97/97 amps (attempting to craft 250s) as long as the Q of the amp stays over 225.... i keep and GH the amp as the stats turn out reasonable for use for those using the 225 spells... somewhere in the 90-92% stat range.

That said I don't have a clue about the OP 20%... which was your actual question... just a bit of clarification on the other crap i posted earlier.

Wrt to the +20% bonus, its a question whether its just "+20" or "+20% of the stat you would have got"...

In the first case, a 97% amp would be a 117% and in the 2nd case, it would be 116(.4) so I guess it doesnt reaaalllly make a difference the higher you get O_o

But yeah, Bri said something about it possibly applying to precraft stats *shrugs and gets more confused*

Very nice :)

A worried homin would suggest that you just set Evo's OP as a target for both the amp mat and the Rubbarn gum I guess :o

Well, i didnt use any OP mats in this amp :D

Maybe they need a ampcrafter lol

What stats do they normally give? 91% (111-20) or 93% (93+93x(20/100))?

heh actually that's the best use for such a tool.. grind exe amps till it dings, giving you a sweet sup like amp. I heard some peeps had like 600 muncham eyes
