same thing here (more or less), keeping your outpost out of reach from other so you dont need to defend it.
game mechanics allows it, why not use it ? (same question and answer for storage)

btw, still no word from nevrax (or i missed it).

Well for merchants and multple storage (through alts)...the GMs have stated it's allowed. So that's irrelevant...well kinda because if you look at when those issues were brought up...Nevrax did take awhile to state their stance if I recall right. xD

I'm waiting also from the word of Nevrax if this is legal or not. I just see it as a obvious exploit the devs should have fixed instead of letting us argue over it. If had stated as it went live this "Tactic" was ok...I wouldn't even be here...probably would still digging. :p

multiple alts as just homins, so no exploit there.
i brought merchant storage up because that also brought "exploit exploit" cry's to forum. we were just lucky that they "allowed" it (only choice they could make lol)

imho, calling this ("false declatations") as an exploit only makes more work for csr's and unneccessary headache.

i really hope Nevrax is discussing it inhouse and not enjoying early new year lol

The idea to keep people from doing this sort of idiocy (and it IS idiocy, and the Samsara should be ashamed of using it. I used to count them among the good guilds on Atys) was to have a cost for declairing war.

Sadly, that cost is a pittance. Raising it to 40 million would solve the problem, and many others. Yes, it would mean that you have to know before hand when you want to start your assault, so you are not changing it all of the time. And, yes, it would also mean that small guilds will have to save up before trying to take an outpost.

I am fine with both of those consequences.

What I am not fine with is the recycling of the same exploits we have seen in almost every other game that has implemented any sort of GvG territory conflict.

It is so tiresome.

And to see Kostika try to defend the practise...ugh.

Atys is dying, and the potential it once had has been wasted.
It could have been great.

They can cancel the declaration at any time, then re declare.

Never thought of multiple alts for storage or storing on merchants as exploits. I'm glad they thought so also. :p

Well the csr's can blame the devs for this being poorly implemented. I'm not gonna go into a rant cause I probably will be posting a hell of a long post. :p

Enjoying an early new year...they better not...x.X;;;

Oh, Oh, Oh, Apple? Cherry? Or still eating through those mince Pies from Xmas???

After watching this thread grow and gorw, maybe its time for me to say somthing before it gets locked. ;)

Personaly. i think if a Guild decalares war for ANY reason it should be forfilled, i also see why people may call it weak RP, I think that it's unlikely that you can roleplay DECLARING WAR conastantly. I imagine it to be fireworks and parades withing a guild when they decarle war. I would have assumed to roleplay declaring war would be a big deal for a guild. Along with having war declared upon you. Because that is what you are doing, I cant see a roleplayer saying "Guild X has decalred war on us, but they dont mean war" - that seems fake. ( I do RP a fir bit and i'm trying to look at this subjectively but to RP that war doesnt matter (espc comming from hominst's etc) doesnt make sense)

I do understand why people have used this tataic. I dont think theres a homin who wants to see a single guiild with 10 OP's (apart from the members in the guild) but i do think if a guild (and allies) were strong enough to take an outopst they will be strong enough to defend an outpost. - Understadanly they dont want to forced to defend thewir OP 24/7 but for them to isolate themselves completely and refuse to take part in what is essentialy a major part of this content, well it does seem a bit selfish.

I am in no way pointing fingers. Kos knows that i think she is a great homin, and i applaude her for comming up with the idea. - I'm assuming she was the first. She's just made her life on atys alot easier. :D

At the end of the day it is up to the DEV's (and whoever sticks their ore in) to decide what to do on this matter. I think we should thank Final for raising this point (regardless of motive)

There are plenty of OP's to be had ( and i'm to assume more to become availble?) and plenty of guilds willing to prove their defensive capibilties (or just annoy the hell out of someone then they'll wanna shot at you ;) )

anyways thats my two dappers on this, Thanks for reading.

Much love and Peace to you all

Tyilin

ppl attacking their own ops with their alt characters is something that will fade after the holidays...

OP war is good fun compared to the usual...dont think ppl want the OPs for their uber mats or items [LMAO....ROFL..]

*climbs back on chair*
i think ppl do that cause they wanna celebrate Xmas and not chase around someone who has nothin better to do than attack em on boxing day @ 6 am in the morning
