A character being citizen of a civilization or member of a religion different to the guild, cannot be member of that guild as he does not follow the same way of life.
So as the only kami in a karavan guild, does this mean I will either be forced to grind my fame or be kicked out of the guild?
If so that will be the last straw I have been waiting for. I haven't the time or inclination to change guilds (never mind leave my friends behind) whilst hoping Nevraxs next whim/half arsed implementation won't make me have to become an enemy of more friends I've played with for over a year.

If you don't "choose" to be a member of the Kami cult (ie you don't go and do the Kami membership rite) then you will be "neutral" and can stay in the BMs :)

If they want fame and faction to dictate game content, why not have it be for NEW content? (i.e. new regions, new crafting plans, new materials, new rites, new teleport pacts....the list could be endless). Instead they are taking away much of the old content that we all grew to know and love (being able to travel and train to interesting places, being able to have a reasonable amount of access to the Prime Roots, being able to learn crafting plans of various cultures).

Episode 2 was just tolerable for neutral players, because the content was all new and if you didn't want to participate, you could go on doing all the old things that you liked. Now many of the old things we liked about this game will be cut off, and the game will be fundamentally changed. And for many their enjoyment of it will be fundamentally changed (for better or for worse).

Now neutral players that have worked hard to make Prime Roots digging one of their primary skills will basically have all this time investment stripped away. There will be little opportunity to raise it in any meaningful way, and little opportunity to use it. I'm sure there would be an outcry if to raise elemental magic a minor trek had to be made to a special region where this magic was allowed. This is in effect what is going to happen to neutral (and even faction based to a lesser extect) Prime Roots diggers.

so the fame i have now means nothing, I can have +ve kami fame, but if i dont do the cult rite im still classed as neutral?
And if im classed as neutral, wouldnt that mean i would have to join a neutral guild?

Everyones fame is currently worthless... thats obvious because the Kami sell me teleport tickets and you are in a guild aligned different than you. They are finally making fame matter (and as is typical for Nevrax, doing it oddly) and changing how fame works.

I think you would be best suited to make your fame changes now when it may be easier to do. Soon your access to some things may be more limited as it seems it will be to us all.

That makes more sense then Kami selling me tickets and such though...

Ok here my few dappers..
After some tests on ATS imo the best situation in our current state of game (on live servers) would be:
1. become follower of cult (kami/kara)
2. stay neutral toward all races (this would save +50 fame cap and allows to deal with lall current rites)

becoming of Citisen should be suduced by Uber awesome Rites....hmm I wonder what they will invent..tho I saw new amps in action..."Divine Intervention"..*gasps*..geez they so kewl ;)

That is ofcourse your opinion. At the moment regarding to my playstyle I still see more benefits in becomming/staying a Neutral, even with the restrictions on travel, but that' s something Cult members will have to deal with too.

Citizenship, well i' ll be stuck with some prices going down, but I' ve always sold directly to the customer, or at least most of the time; and as long as 0 is my max value and will allow me to buy plans, you won' t hear me complain. Certainly not if you keep some of the old DCC letters in mind that might shed a clue onto what Citizenship could mean. (wild guessing here but it sounds to dumb for it not to hint into that direction) Rites, well yeah, I' ll be stuck there I guess. But you can' t have everything going your way.

Bottomline is I still can be the dapper-loving, smuggling, stealing cheat in the end, possibly working on both sides should they need me or pay me (handsomely); which works so much better than being pushed into a little box and get a faction' s colours tagged on me I actually didn' t choose.

Two concerns I have though.
1) What is the reason neutrals don' t have PR access (that' s been answered, thank you), but neutrals do have access to Nexus? Not complaining, just curious as to why?

2) How much will this fame revamp influence Global FvF? Meaning tp access for neutrals; only altars of the occupying faction will work in that region, but will that mean Neutrals can still use that faction' s altars? Are Neutrals automatically going to be flagged non-PvP in those zones? Will Neutrals be able to attack Spires? (I imagine neutral rebels wanting to prevent a certain region from being faction controlled for instance, for whatever reason) And how much of the 'neutrals won' t be allowed to attack unless in retaliation' holds still true?

It just seemed so hilarious in my mind that the following could happen:

- Previously Karavan cntrolled region gets swarmed by hordes of Kami zealots.
- Karavan supporters know they are the minority (some Matis didn' t want to cancel their manicure apointment at the time of battle and most Trykers just enjoy chasing yubo' s much more in a drunken stupor than actually helping out) ..... so they call in on Neutral mercenaries as they don' t want to loose to that furry scum.
- Kami troops are slaughtering the Karavan forces one by one while the Neutral mercs can' t act.
- After having wiped the Karavan forces the Kami forces now single out the Neutral healers..... yes, they got attacked, now they can hit back!

Any feedback on this would be highly apreciated.

While it's good from a role play point of view to not allow neutral players to use tps - there should be something for them, from a gameplay pov. Perhaps a new set of tps that are run by homins can come up in the future - and these tp's could only be used by neutrals. It still allows the reduction in where I as a kami player can tp too - but it also allows neutrals some freedom to move around Atys quickly rather than having to choose a side.

This is more important in the zones that nuetrals will no longer be able to tp to. Not saying that everyone should be able to tp everywhere - but that if I was to play a nuetral I would have access to the same things as someone who was a karavan or kami.

Otherwise, what's the point in even making nuetrality a part of the game at all?

ok bin on ATS as undifiend what chars would be that are made before the patch you dont get acces to most TPs
so this is no option
as neutral I coudln't get the tp ticket for groove of confusion
which is the most popular region for lvling on leanon

but what is most disturbing for me, switching to neutral or any race
alle fame is lost just like *plopp* vanished

what about that? many have +100 fame in 2 3 or all 4 races
