My biggest concern:

There are tens of thousands of honor points being dished out to those fighting in PvP for fun.

There is a fraction of that available for those who harvest non stop.

There are NO honor points in defending diggers against kitin.

The system is rewarding ganking, pure and simple.


Someone who fought in the ping pong battle for 2 hours has more honor points than me by far who has been digging for close to 10 hours. They are no where near the top 10 list on the scoreboard in fighting, while last I checked I was #2 in harvesting.

This system isn't promoting the construction of anything, merely destruction....

Well said! This is purely a PvP event. Nothing more, nothing less. Wheer is the true non-PvP content we were PROMISED??!!

I was only there for the Kitin, that's why I left.

that was ONLY planned for the global FvF, and it was explicitly stated that it didn't apply to certain event-based FvF zones.

Where's the motivation to protect the diggers?

The most dutiful and helpful warriors, the ones who will actually ENABLE the temple to be built by guarding the diggers from Kitin aren't going to get ANY honour.

I went in there this morning. Being a lakelands digger with low desert levels I turned careplanner.

I seriously didn't mind the kinchers running around, occasionally jumping out onto us, doing their d*mn best to kill us. What else is to be expected from hominkind's true enemy.

What I very much minded were those roving bands of brainless, pre-pubescent PK'ers that ran around not playing the event (except for using it as an excuse), but to kill any harvester they could find.

If I wanted this kind of game I'd play WoW.

I'll give it some time and thought, but sofar it seriously looks as if I'm only going to hang on until I find a new game.

I think I'll just bring my Kami/Kara fame to -1/1 and see if I can play faction hopping and get honor points from both sides. Or if I can get the neutral (dark green) label in that area -- not that it would actually mean anything, I just wanna know.

Otherwise, I just hope R2 isn't being designed by the same people who designed this "FvF thing".

I have loads of ideas how this could be made more fun, challenging etc. as I have played proper, fun PvP/FvF games, both MMO and LAN versions, but I can't be bothered anymore to try help Nevrax.

Also, where is the Kami temple site from FH? Tykers voted yes to Kami temple! So, where is it?

I havent voted yet, as I have not been in the game yet, since this became active. But to be honest, the threads really sound grave.
They sound even worse then during the PvP kills in the PR.

Don't be too scared by it, it isn't all that bad. Maybe it is even something you might enjoy.

In any case, if nobody have thought about it, this looks like a test of Ryzom-Ring. And it is working flawlessly as far as I can tell.

Agreed, the kitins wasn't that bad, it was a worthy challenge standing around trying to heal the harvesters and the few guards.

I find the goo to be a greater "enemy", it is there for no, clear, reason. It is harmful and destructive.
The same can be said about the kitin, but I have the belief that there is a way contact and speak with them (as in a hive queen or ruler of somekind).
The goo seems too alien to even be controlled by someone or concious about it surroundings.
