Nevrax....What if they gave a war and nobody came ?

Huh? They are giving the game away for free now? Is THAT bad? Are they sinking THAT fast?
What about me and other idiots who (pre)ordered the game and payed for it? So we pay for the game and monthly sub, and others (no offense jared) are only pay the sub. I want my money back then.

To get the game shortly after release, I had to get it shipped from the US, as there was no Australian distributer. Recently I got my GF to download it and start an account. Big improvement.

I started end of october 2004 (month and half waiting for box). Made orders in Belgium and the Netherlands, both boxes came same day. Now have NA and EU-EN box.

At launch time last year, it was available in Electronics Boutique and a couple other stores in the US. I got mine there. Looking at it in terms of being able to take part in everyone starting their real chars, and being able to help in the first intercontinental crossings a week or two in, I don't regret buying the box at all :)

After bete and the several FBT caharcters I needed to get away from game and waited till January after giving myself a X-mas present. Unfortunately Nevrax had database problems and I couldn;'t get into my old FBT account. It wouldn't let me convert it (account no found), nor create the character anew (account already in use). I bought the box for $29 to have the box and any stuff that went with it.


Finally after 5 months of back and forth with Nevrax, they agreed to let me create a new character and trnasfer the FBT bennies tot he new toon. That got me in game in mid May.

The 2nd account however I did thru the web. Well actually no matter how many times I tried the downloaded version didn't work. So I used the CD again, installed it in two other machines, patched and set them up to play under the same account. Then I just created a new account, signed up for the free trial with that account, and starte dpaying after 2 weeks.....I understand however that the free trial is either already down or going down to 7 days

Jared's plan in post #63 sounds great! If that were implemented, it'd pretty much solve all the problems that could be looming (unless people very much surprise me) with Outposts.

Hmm, last time the raid engine was used was early July afaik, and the event went fine, no crashes.

I just went back and read the "features" link on the main ryzom web site.

Yeah, I guess I can imagine...what I haven't been able to do since FBT is experience it. Was on vacation in July and it took Nevrax till May 2004 to convert my account over.
