I agree this sucks, and furthermore, why do the apartment welcome messages display there anyway? Can't we have it in the regular chat box like all the other messages? (motd, guildmotd)

Something else... In the case of viewing your own PvP flags, can we not have our own faction icons back? (ie: Always the most positive) This fugly Kami symbol sucks.

I think you have to increase your kara faction higher than your negative kami, in terms of absolute numbers.
I have 93 kara fame and -67 kami fame and I have only my karavan icon shown (along with the hominist icon).
If I understood correctly, if my Kami fame would be, in example, -94, I would see anti-kami icon on my head and NOT my Karavan icon.
I'm not sure tho, just a supposition. We would appreciate If any dev can clarify this.

This is a good patch looking from an overview, but I feel the devs didn't take into account the feeling of people when they log in after a patch and have nothing shiny new to play with and in fact at first glance only seem to have stuff taken away from them. This factor is important; every patch has a bunch of oldies checking back in and is a chance to capture them back if there's something shiny catching their attention, or push them away more if they're left feeling disappointed.
In this patch, the PvP-system got expanded, so players log in expecting to see something new in PvP and the only difference they notice is that they don't get faction points for PvP anymore. Also a system for decorating your apartment was put in place, so players log in expecting to see new furniture and all they see is that their apartments
lost most of their furniture.
So even though it's a good patch in the long run, you get a feeling of post-patch disappointment that could've been largely avoided by just adding two sentences to the patch notes: "To make this PvP revamp work, we had to remove faction points for PvP for now, a new way to obtain them will be implemented later." and "To put the apartment-decoration system in place, we had to make everyone start with an empty apartment. You'll be able to buy all your furniture back over time." That way players know to expect these temporary setbacks and you don't create false hope to be bursted on patch day.
Better yet ofcourse would be to hold the patch off until the new way to earn faction points and all the lost furniture can be implemented along with it.

The new way to earn faction points need some work and a robust new pvp system without too critical bugs. So, we think better patch with new pvp system and add points later. Sorry for the inconvenience.
About furniture on houses, the ryzhome system is totaly independant. So, we can add new items each week in real time without need of patch. We are actually correcting some bugs before make acces to all items from other nation and new items later. The ryzhome system only needed news functions in this patch to be dynamic.
About "post-patch disappointment", we will take it in consideration in future. Thanks for your posts

That is good to hear, I know some were afraid we wouldn't get more furniture until the next patch.
Don't misunderstand me, I'm glad you're developing stuff that's disappointing in the short run but good in the long run rather than the other way around.
I just think some short-term disappointment could've been avoided here.
