Sorry to hear that Crailus. Maybe try a system restore? Anyway, yes, Ryzom is lag free for now, but Zora area still a little jumpy.(9:30 am EST) It is good to see the place again, plan on going on a very long trek tonight with friends, get screenies, maybe go for a few bosses....
Also wanted to let evryone know I will have a ring up by Saturday and all are invited. It is my first attempt, so please, be kind...
Just wanted to make a ring and get together with people from the community, in case it is one of the last times
. Lets show the owners and potential buyers (hopefully) that we are still here and still want this world to exist by showing up in droves while the server is running and by participating in rings... Let all know we are still here..

Guess not.
Apparently, no current or former staff members are willing or able to give any updates at all whatsoever. A very encouraging sign.

"They" who? And where did you hear that "they" aren't allowed to say anything?
People are quitting the game (myself almost certainly included) because the company went bankrupt, "they" apparently put the servers on dial-up (even though there was a laughable official statement that we'd still be able to play for three weeks), and no one is telling us anything. Not a single peep for the last two weeks, just silence and extreme, ironic lag.
Someone knows what's going on. I'm not accusing the CSRs of withholding information. What I am doing, though, is accusing the people who
do know what's going on of not bothering to let anyone know.
What could "they" possibly accomplish at this point by keeping silent? Nothing whatsoever. Whatever "they" have planned, we're going to find out about it eventually, so releasing a tiny update every few days really isn't that much to ask. These weeks of not knowing anything have been a SUCKFEST.
I guess no one left in a position of authority gives enough of a damn about the community to keep us informed (even a little bit) about the situation. That's not really very encouraging to me, and that was my point: No one on the planet Earth can be bothered to let us know what's going on.

This is what I understand to be happening now from reading the VCA forums.(If I've gotten anything wrong please feel free to correct the information.)
This is all that's known as of now. Gameforge France S.A.R.L. has been liquidated and is out of business. Its assets are under the control of the liquidator. The liquidator is making an inventory of these and will decide which offer to take for them to pay off the creditors. They may be sold as one, piecemeal or whatever depending on what the offers are.
There is no hurry to complete this since there is no need to keep a company up and functioning as there was last time.
Worst case scenario is that the liquidator finds that no offer is satisfactory, and the creditors take the assets for themselves. The largest creditor is the French state, and it would get the most of the assets.
You can check out the VCA forums
here
P.S. Since this is the official news thread, but this isn't offical news, please take with however many grains of salt you want.
