You have this tendancy to RP what is convienent to you.
That the access was ever there for neutrals at all was a OOC oversight, and I think you know that.
The portals are nothing more than a game mechanic that move us from one adjacent area to another, hardly an RP justification for non-factioned teleportation.
That Tryton did it by stealing Karavan technoogy proves only that it takes exceptional beings with access to very advanced tools to accomplish it. Tryton has either left Atys or is, more likely, dead. When was the last time a homin heard from him? Although, were a Trytonist faction to be established in the game mechanics, and he were able to set up teleport points on Atys, and they had the same fame requirements as the existing point...no complaint from me.
But I am willing to bet that a certain band of mercs would still cry about the need to ally themselves with a philosophy that they don't fully support in order to get efficient transport to high levee areas.

I have personally ground out about 20 faction fame in 4 hours. With a good team of 2-3 high level people working together, its not very hard at all.
...Now why are people moaning about this as they only have to do it once? If it was every week or even every month it could get to be boring... but once? heh, its not bad at all.
So yeah, give me about 16 hours of one-off work in exchange for PR TPs for as long as I like? pfff thats not hard at all. And 16 hours is _nothing_ for grind.
So why are you moaning about changing the rules? You say it takes you 16 hours of not very hard work for you to buy all the PR tickets of both factions which you can then store on your packer or apartment. Then you will have it better than all the dedicated Kamists and Karavaneers who have only half of those tickets. I know some people have over 1000 tickets stored for a single tp. So just go do it and stop posting about how the devs need to change the game.

I think you are missing the point. And its 16 hours for _1_ faction, not both. I dont wanna have to rince + repeat 3 times a month just to have access to what people get for a one off. I really sympathise with people who go faction "just for the TPs", but I feel its a bit of a cop-out. I value my neutrality.
Though maybe I would, if they gave me enough storage space I didnt have to do it once a month...

A shade of grey IS a more difficult and interesting RP choice and it is possible to pursue while also taking a side. The 2D fanatical representations that Raynes or Doubletap portray are very simplistic but even those who make factional choices needn't be the same sort of cardboard cut outs as those, as we see in some OP battles where Kami or Karavan moderates end up fighting for different sides.
Incidentally a lot of military training is done trying to create reactions rather than thought and to instil the simplistic thinking of 'the enemy' in order to make soldiers more effective but 'Just following orders' hasn't been an excuse, at least not since Nuremburg.
The temple war was forced by fame with only a laughable attempt to provide a role for neutrals, which I nonetheless followed throughout the battle. If I had had +1/-1 fame the teleport would have still been the same. Making the best of an awful situation and trying to participate as best as possible.
Call the type of RP I do whatever you want, it doesn't matter. The fact is that your neutral type of RP will never be offered the same level of focus as the Kami/Karavan conflict. That is not the way the game was designed, that is not the way Nevrax wants it, and that is not the way it's going to happen.

Why does it seem all threads derail and then start in the same arguments over and over?

Some people have big mouths and don't shut up in the hopes they'll get what they want if they keep throwing their toys outta the pram...
Then all the other people have to speak up and suppress them to make it clear most people don't want what they want.
aaand arooound we gooo!

And you, and others, have a tendency to misrepresent things in order to support your position which seems to amount to 'I'm alright Jack, screw you.'

Admitting you have a problem is the first step. I'm very proud of you.

Oh. Sorry, I heard someone claiming to have gotten both factions in 2 days recently. He bought tons of PR tickets for both factions and then returned to Neutral.

Store 2000 tickets. How many trips to PR are you planning in a month?

Come up with a good rp reason. You and Grimjim can be so imaginative!
