Gotta keep the revenue line up...Kara demand side down while Kami is up.
While this is a factor, actually I am always amused by the KA claims of being "organised", since Kami contracts appear within hours of a battle declaration at the latest, KA ones sometimes appear days later, then complain we are always "already hired".
*shrugs* there have been occasions when there are literally _minutes_ in it. But then the Kami seem to have multiple people willing to make a bid (I have had to turn down multiple contracts on the same OP battle before... Rashan would probably have me flogged for not getting paid twice for the same job... personally the paperwork bothers me

)

Probably because hiring mercenaries isn't really a priority for the karavan, priority is to inform friends and allies. That and we tend to expect to fight all the mercenaries, so is really an after thought to see if the mercenary fraternity is unpurchased.
Likely saved a fair few dappers too.

After wasting many hours attending several OP battles where the attackers didnt bother to show up, I am perfectly happy for the mercenaries to work for the other side. I am almost willing to pay them to do so myself (terms and conditions apply).
regardless of Outposts being intended to be eventually owned by one side or not, it isnt fun to have a string of one-sided walkovers, not for people after a a fair fight, and certainly not for the losers

So, is your fair fight one brought on to meet aggression or just any Ol' fair fight ?
They are not all the same, do you or anyone else think that once the Kamists take out a Neutral/Kami/Pseude-Kara OP, it will then be sacred ? Karavaneers hate them less than others truly, but will it be a fair fight outside of faction ties ?
Not really, once/if the Kamists take an OP from a neutral/psuedo-Karavan guild, will anyone notice ? Nah, other than chest thumping by the Kamists it'll be a non-event...
When the Karavan see's an aggressor's OP and not a borderline-Kara OP open for rent. It might then become a target, where it wasn't before. You will all swear you need help against the Karavan attack, but it was truly an assualt against the aggressors in our battles of will.

mmm since its clearly not a priority, can we stop having the whining about the Samsara generally being on the other side then? Not you specifically Aajolea, but since we seem to at last have a clarification that the KA dont hire mercs as a priority, then no one should be surprised if we go where the pay is?
Maybe certain prominant and vocal members of the KA will stop calling us Kami / kamineutral / whatever whinge they have this week. Meh, but I'm sure that those people (and we all know who they are) will continue to cast aspersions and indirect insults on anyone who doesnt follow their "one true view" of the game world...
Iwojimmy: you are welcome to contact us anytime
Doubletap: Love your definition of "aggressor", got so much spin it's all turned around! And you speak for the Karavan as a whole now? wow!

I beleive Jena, or one of her emmisaries is the only one who can speak for the Karavan.
I think DT sometimes forgets in his fervour as a self professed disciple that he is speaking for his alliance not all Karavan followers, the use of the word psuedo is his choice and offensive.
Doesnt one of Jenas commandments say somthing about taking the law into your own hands and judgement day.
