so that i don't clutter up the newly created thread i'll post this here.

after discussion with exisstenz ingame it is clear i did break the terms of this particular OP's rules. i see this now and while i don't fully agree with their veiws i respect them and i'm happy to be removed from his list.

to clear up teh confusion.....

no person on the list may partake in any form of pvp against a member of the KA. this includes but not limited to:
being on the attacking side at an OP battle
being on the defending side at an OP battle
wearing your faction tag AND engaging in combat (even healing)
enaging in open pvp in prime roots and other open pvp areas (even to defend yourself) (i guess i broke that already when i fired my lvl 1 fear at rundll for a joke )


i'm sure i have missed some out but i hope i have helped clear up the main missunderstanding that i personally had and i hope no new members have the same missunderstanding in the future.

to komissar: next time you think somone should be removed from the list please contact ppl ingame and dont' splash it across the forums in a 'name and shame' kind of way. the way that this was handled i was quite offended

ah... its 'easy-mode' pvp. If they attack you, they're assured a win by the fact that you are not allowed to defend yourself. If you do defend yourself, then they remove your cat supply. And once the kara move on to neutral OPs, you can't go defend your friends or even your own OP (you'd break the contract at that point, I know, but thats what the wording could mean). Never thought that the KA would be running from opponents

that one is just plain stupid since they started it (if you're defending yourself, they're obviously the attackers...) so at any time they could attack you for the hell of it (there have been people who would do such a thing....) and not have to worry about losing. They either win by killing the person who hasn't defended themselves or they 'win' by removing the cat supply to that person.

you could say that about a number of OP holding guilds.

All the more reason to allow GvG only OP battles. I still wonder if someone were to ask for it to be a guild vs guild event if it would actually happen. We considered it back in Jan with a couple different guilds and came to the conclusion that other people would get involved (either by joining the guild temporarily to make it 'legal' or would come to defend their friends even though they're not guilded).

I am trully SORRY if i offended you Sashtan, because no offense was meant. I respect you a lot and there was no name and shame splash intended.

1. I didn't know it was you because i only saw the blue symbol with a tree. I never named anyone in this thread. But the name wouldn't matter to me since it's the guild that particpates...

2. I prefer to set things straight. So i knew beforehand that this will turn into a flamefest and still i posted this because the thing has to be settled and cleared.

3. I didn't want to just remove Insomniacs from list and keep it secret. I wanted this to be open and fair. I might be an arrogant/agressive/nasty/imperialistic MF as it was stated here but I never do things behind your back...

4. What Shame are you talking about??? You defended your friends didn't you??? YOu played the game the way you consider right?? So where is the shame??

5. So as I said. I am sorry if this offended you. The OP belongs to GoJ and they decide how to share it's produce. I am not in charge I only helped them a bit with organising things. The decision they made shows that I was right...


And Sashtan I have always respected and will always respect you. You however are free to consider me an enemy personally if the offense was that great... But... Would i have been in your shoes I would do exactly the same for my friends and consider it right and honorable...

thank you for the apology komissar. i've been around long enough not to bare grudges for long and.. wait a sec.. hang on.. pfft there it goes.. business as usuall

if you look at the image closely you can see my name next to the symbol and a 'target eye'

also in the sys info it says 'sashtan paries your attack'

it's a nice screenie btw and in all fairness that was probably one of the best most fun OP battles on atys. it was so tantilisingly close for the whole 2 hrs

that was one of the things i pointed out and one of the things that we dissagreed on in our discussion. but this was a difference of oppinion and i respect the rule none the less. as i pointed out to him.. some days we will be side by side on teh battle feild .. others we will be oposite each other depending on the situation.
