Edit: This was in reply to "On the other hand, there seems to be a persistant argument from the Pro-PvP people that non-PvP players don't have to participate in PvP. On the surface this is true, but it requires giving up ALL high-level game content. Now, how is that justified? Yes, it should be difficult to get to the high-level content, but how does that JUSTIFY requiring PvP in order to partake of that content?" posted above
Also note that for disclaimer purposes the "you" mentioned in a generalized you, not any one particular person.

Because at the moment the ONLY high level content IS PvP. And really is it even that? It isn't really content so much as "stuff to do at 250 besides farm."
Now I hope to god that won't always be the case, I really do. I really, really hope that after Spires they'll begin working on PvE stuff - and there's no reason not to once you put in a faction based pvp system. Let us also not forget that this thing called "The Ryzom Ring" exists... and what is this mysterous thing? It's the solution to everyone in ANY GAME that ries about no high level content. Now you can all sit down, shut up, crank up some good music, and write your own content for everyone to enjoy. So you can't even say that Nervax is ignoring people who don't like PvP. They're giving you something much better than new content, they're teaching you to make your own.
The simple fact is that if you don't like PvPing. Don't do it. Will you be bored and not get access to the same stuff as people who do PvP? For the moment yes, and I'll agree that isn't fair. But NO ONE is FORCING you to take part in something you don't enjoy. You make that sacrifice yourself because you want something. YOU make that decision to PvP EVEN though you don't like it. And YOU (not nesscarily you the person reading this) make the choice to get upset afterwords and vent your frustration on whoever killed you thereby ruining there fun. You're not the victim. You're the cause of the problems. You're doing things you don't want to do and then ruining the fun for people that do want to do them. People who PvP aren't ruining your fun, your fun was ruined before you even started.
So yes, I think all of you people who don't like PvP should just suck it up and stop trying to make it go away. It isn't going anywhere, and it isn't fair that they put in PvP as the only way to obtain some of the really cool high level items. They should have made PvP part of the release, but things don't always work out nicely. But now you all have the Ring coming, and if that doesn't solve the issue of content and stuff to do for people who don't like to PvP, I'm going to totally lose faith in humanity and create a race of super yubos to live out the rest of my days with.
Now granted, that doesn't solve the problem of people who PvP get cool items, but then again, you can always bargin/barter/buy/trade/beg for them off the PvPers. So it isn't like you CAN'T get them, you just don't want to humble yourself and put out an image that you don't feel really applies to you. I'm sure that shortly after R2 comes out it'll be used to make new Nervax content where you can get the same items you get from outposts.
So... yeah. Suck it up and stop forcing yourself to do things you don't like. And if you feel you must, don't take your frustrations out on the other players. Name calling and acting the sore loser and getting upset only ruins other people's fun - and you don't have that right. Relax already, your day will come "real soon (tm)"
