He's saying you can overdig it if you have a high harvest in another terrain, but your mats will just degrade to very poor Q.

edited after i thought back ... yes you can overdig sups in the 150 zone if you have a high dig in another land, but the results will be so horrid you don't want to bother with it...

You have to be 90 PR to dig sups without degrade in a 150 zone would be the correct way of stating it.

And I always thought it fair play not to dig supremes with a level that is too low.
The stuff is too rare to be ruined.

Ooh Trini, that sounds simply elitist! By that philosophy you should never craft anything below the ql of the mat either?

It was just the rules I set up for me. I wasn't to say, that everyone should do as I did, sorry if I formulated that wrong.
And yes it pains me to craft at a lower level than the mats I have available, but I don't have enough lower level mats available to always use the appropriate mats.

That was before the faction conflicts came up.
Today I grab the mats I get, and don't mind if they degrade. So when I got killed at a spot where good mats are available, the attacker won't get as many mats as if I had waited for the mats to pop again, that I really could harvest without problems.

There are yellow and red PR zones and Nexus that supply supreme mats. Those mats are maximum q150 and q200, respectively.

Everyone should be able to wear supreme stuff. That isn't what I wanted to say.

As I started to dig in the Prime Roots, Grove of Obscurity was pure PVP (not GvG as it is now), and the struggle between the factions was not noticable in everyday life. In the days I was below level 90 prime root foraging I didn't extracted supreme sources, because the quality of the mats that I could extract was always degenerated. So I decided for myself to leave the supreme mats for those people that could extract them with a stable quality. That was the time, that I like to name the Age of Cooperation.

Now we are in the Age of Competition in my opinion. I now think it is resonable to get every supreme mat you can lay hands on, regardless of the level you can extract. And this is especially true for the Lands of Umbra, because I don't know why I should leave more mats to a possible attacker than necessary.

Well trini, I agree with you on the fact that I also think supreme mats trashed from max quality 200 to foraged quality 70 is a waste, even for the digger, that could do a higher quality in a place like GoO. I only dig supreme qualities I can achieve, leaving the rest of spots to whoever needs them.. I figure that all the supreme mat trouble is only specific to max quality lands.
In fact, me and Sheena depleted a big shell spot just the day before season switch, so there's not really that much people digging there, i think. Anyway, I would share any sup spot i dig if anyone in need of such material came there.
