Just a reminder, next parahraph in Q&A describing other PvP balancing adjustments.
Warrior class balancing. To give a chance to the warriors when they have to compete with offensive casters, we are considering the possibility to add magical protection to warrior jewels, which would absorb a portion of the magical damages warriors would normally receive - pretty much the equivalent of heavy armor for magical damage. Some of these protections could even reach 100%, granting a complete invulnerability to a given spell type. Also, we are investigating the possibility of increasing the chances of having a spell cast interrupted when a caster is attacked to give a hand-to-hand advantage to the warriors, as well as increasing the effect of critical strikes.

Very very good point. Nerfing healing back down to something like it used to be will mainly effect mages in PvP.

As for fighting mobs, we all know that as soon as a healer is in the team we can ignore all attempts at conserving sap or stamina and just blast or hack away. It would make the game more interesting again.

Only downside - slower xp. But in my book thats a good thing. Too many players reaching 250 and burning out and leaving anyways.

My main thing is healing, so when I agree with nerfing it I have put some thought into it.

All good point, I think heal is very powerful, I openly admit to people double heal is the best thing you can get, and have no need to increase it past level 105. Do other people think that, and hence a low Qty of people who want to Heal?

Of course, the melee v elle argument depends on where they both start :D

I think melee could do with a some magic shield, it should be a little harder to res ppl in PvP, but to nerf the power of the off mags, remove their eyesight and take the ememy off the radar. Then the melee will come into its own :D

nurfing heal would suck... im a 250 healer and trust me when i heal somone 250 melee i get them up with what... 1/4 maybe 2/4 HP if they nurf heal... ressing a 250 melee would take maybe 5.. 6 casts.... in PvP it would be good and bad.... but vs mobs... that makes it impossible almost... if somone getting there last lvl's gets killed you cant res them fast enough before you die.... that would make lvling alot harder.. it would be possible thou of course... but ... that would make most poeple very annoyed... and the poeple lvling heal atm would not bother as its not gunna be useless if ya cant heal enough is it?

i think they should not nurf it... but if they wanna do it they can.. so i see no reason to argue tbh :)

so my vote is dont nurf healing magic.... :)

I vote to nerf heal (and yes, heal is my main skill)
IMO magic is very overpowered and i dont see why a team of two should be able to get 3k for very fast kills with little/no risk. Nerfing heal would make it more interesting for me, and would also nerf ele by default (no more max hp/sap credits). Hopefully this would also help mellee classes as they can take more damage than a ele 'tank' although i think warrior jewels are a wonderful idea.
Heal was never meant to be this powerful, and it would be nice to have a little more of a challenge and to team with ppl of my lvl rather than healing pp 50 lvls above me and still being in no danger (inc 2 ppl teams)

When my ele was 125-150 I used lvl 30-50 healer many times to kill najabbies with low risk. I think there is something unbalanced there.

This whole game is about thinking, rethinking, unravelling mysteries and challanges.

Therefor it matters.

Sorry about the messin about in this thread. I think the combination of nuker/healer could be balanced a bit. Hmmm, maybe not nerf healing, but enable the possibility to craft resistencies on armor, and have resistencies stack? So instead of a nerf, rebuild the resistency system?

Hmmm has anyone actually done any real testing on the balance issues raised in this thread? What I would like to know is: does a lvl 250 "pure" mage stand a chance against a lvl 250 "pure" fighter? now add two "pure" healers to the mix which team comes out on top? Now get those two teams and pit then aginst some mobs who will do better?
Lots of smart people in here so gimme some answers...

If it turns out that PvP is somehow unbalanced we first need to know just what is wrong with it and no it's not healers healing too much nor is it nukers do too much dmg the answers are not that simple. In SoR most people multi class so there's no way of telling which class is more powerfull by just looking at what's happening in the game. You would have to make test chars to be really sure.

So I'd say before we nerf healers and/or nukers lets find out just how powerfull they really are in their "pure" form...

Aya being a high lvl Ele dont really help ya with melee but having high lvl melee helps ya as a ele. Melee and Ranged IMO need the crit ratio booting which would help tons with the Aim skills and gived them a DMG / Aff ability. but its all just hopes in the end they will just nerf cos thats all they know how to do.
