It just depends on where you are on Atys. Sometimes digging in KOD at Tower Bridge you might be keeping company with one other and at other times close to 30, but go down the road to Yrk and you might bump into over 50 people. Same goes for the desert. Dyron, Pyr and Thesos are usually pretty lively just depending on what time of the day it is.
No one knows how many active subscribers there are, but I guarantee you it is definitely above 200. I've definitely seen the population fluciuate over the last several months, but that is par for the course for an mmorpg. I would say it seems that there are a number of new people that apparantly are tyring out the free trial as well as a few who have purchased the game.
As far as raynes and helbreat's posting, I don't agree with them always......well most of the time...., but they do have a right to post here especially since they are paying customers. I've never seen them troll or attack another player. The only thing I would say is that sometimes I can read several posts they've made in several different areas in the forums when really all they needed to do is make the one post. Case in point, the issue on ticket bulk. I don't know hellbreat as well as raynes, but I can tell you raynes cares about Ryzom otherwise he wouldn't post the way he does. You may not always agree with the way they go about trying to light a fire under Nevrax, I don't, but they are doing it because they care.
ignore my grammer and typos as i've been up all night studying for a class.*fumbles around the kitchen for some coffee and some sort of sugary treat*
Look at it from the other point of view.helbreat wrote:the game has high potential its just progressing at the evolutionary speed of a slug which is why me and raynes and many others before us have the same views, just some people are afraid to voice there opinions on here due to the people who always defend anything even if its clearly a bug. youll always get some wise-ass saying maybe its intentional? or giving some view on why it should stay or just telling you to quit complaining
we pay our subs each month we should be able to complain wherever we like since the game hasnst changed for 5 months theres nothing intresting left to do other than ask whats next untill we get some new stuff to do if people dont complain or say anything they wont know we are bored and if its only posted in 1 topic when there are about 6-7 topics its actually relevant to then chances are it might not get seen so its good to post in all the topics related to the issuegrimjim wrote:Look at it from the other point of view.
You get people incessantly whining about things that are in the works or that have been added or that AREN'T bugs at all and the whiners tend to not be constructive at all or to blame people without putting any thought into what factors might be at play. Yeah, we'd all like things to move faster and we'd all prefer jam today rather than jam tommorow but some of us know it takes TIME to make jam and it doesn't always turn out right.
Its this whinging going on scattershot everywhere that p*sses people the hell off.
