Clarification: Haddo made many announcements in region about his departure, but if he ever broadcast anything asking people not to resell to Fyros markets I certainly didn't see it.
Clarification: the profit above the price I paid for the rings in the first place: about 150K total. I gave twice that away today to my guildmates to help them buy equipment and such. Costs of the guild crash - replacing guild: 1M. Replacing guild hall: 10M. Balance in guild hall at time of deletion: 1.7M. Value of mats armor and weapons in Hall stores: roughly 4M. How we as a guild have saved up enough to replace most of this already: by harvesting, crafting, and selling *our own wares*.
Does all this clarication matter to you? I sincerely doubt it, but there it is anyhow.
....7 page FLAME for bad behavior................ PRICELESS
I read to the 2nd page and got BORED. Damn u guys gripe a hella lot abt something so small and insignificant. How is it possible to turn smthing so simple into such a loooooonnnnngggg thread of whining.
1st i must say, that "storage problem" happened to me abt 4 days ago. Really i wasnt storing, i sold like a packer of stuff to get 100k dappers real quick, all of which i pulled back out in abt an hour. included in this, was a set of haddos jewels, which i priced at 300-600k. well wadya know! someone bought them. u know, there IS a reason why i put the price that high... underlying sign says "DONT BUY IM STORING" whoever bought it, i hope u arent one of the ppl griping abt this, cos u are an idiot for spending that much on a set of jewels.
Back to my point. This situation is VERY plain and simple. Its a free market, its not like u can "do something" to someone who pulls a BLSH(BuyLowSellHigh). The way i see it, Haddo did inform everyone MULTIPLE times on region chat that he was going on break and to STOCK UP. Which is exactly wat i did, go 3 sets and im doing fine now, no complaints. If you guys did heed his warning and actually "stocked up" there wouldnt be a need to buy jewels wen he is on break. So quite obviously, some of you didn't.
So wow! you are stuck without 190q jewels, and all haddo's ones are sold out, it is like his 3rd day of break, he wont be back for another week or so. Wat do u do? You go to a merch and BAM! a couple of sets there for double/triple the price.
From this point, everything you do is your problem, if u decide to buy it, dont gripe about it. It's not like u didnt have a choice and someone forced u into buying. Dont blame the price raisers, blame yourself for buying them.
In fact IMHO, these "price raisers/market hawkers" are doing u a favor by putting sets on the market. Whatever price they set, at least there are jewels on the market, its not like haddo is here to make anymore, so be happy with wat u got, beggars cant be choosers.
Just like real life, if something is in low supply and high demand, no shait, obviously it would be more expensive. Same relation as to why 200q SUP PHA amber is more expensive than 100q Choice amber, more demand, less supply.
Comes down to this. For now, the supply on jewels is low, and the demand is high, so the cost will go up. Like the prices, buy it, dont like it, dont buy it, simple.
If u need a set, and see one for a high price and buy it, dont complain abt how ppl are selling jewels for such a price, cos u just bought it dumb fool! This makes you the stupid one, not the person selling it.
Now, i like haddo, he is a real nice guy and all, my respect goes to u my friend(no offence intended at all if u read this haddo).
Many of you say if Haddo finds out abt this, he will stop selling jewels. okay... so... no 190q jewels for everyone forever? gonna cry abt it? please... he isnt the only jewel crafter out there, within a week or 2, someone, in fact maybe a couple, will get up there, and walla! 190q jewels back on the market.
Besides, Haddo seems like the kinda person who will understand economy, and realize that it is normal that ppl would resell his jewels at a higher price since there werent many sets left while he was on break.
If i was a major market supplier like Haddo, it wouldnt even bother me at all. Its not like anything will change wen i get back from a long break, if i decide to sell my wares at my original price, who are u gonna buy from? me or the overpriced dude? So naturally, wen haddo gets back, the "resellers" will go away. And tada! Haddo is back controlling the jewel market.
So guys, don't sweat it, u can survive without a 190q set til he gets back. This is a small matter, the world isnt comming to an end.

Thanks for that, wahlaneh. Your post was fresh air in a very stale room.
It is true that considerable perspective has been lost along the way, by myself very much included, once OmegaV declared KoS against my guild based on one of my posts here. I think that fueled a good 5 pages of this 7 page symphony of rants and flames.
I'm going to sleep now. I'm done with this topic. If anyone feels compelled to dicuss it with me further, feel free to send me a /tell in-game.

Mmmm was that directed at me? Probably was, but i don't think we are operating on the same frequency basic =P No one has to say it, but everyone knows we are talking abt 190q jewels here.
basicart wrote:good maybe ya can defend them in the PvP zones
And that i will, i hope this is not a war declaration on LPD, i aint draggin them into this BS.
And just FYI, i will be in pvp zones alot, so if you feel like picking a fight, bring it, doesnt matter to me if i lose, im only 177, but it'll show truth in wat keoni says about how u just go around picking fights for no reason.
1st mistake of this whole endeavor, was Haddo announcing his vacation in-game. I mean who isn't going to think, oh no, gotta get my jewels now! He prolly sold more jewels in the four days he was running around saying he was gonna be gone than he has in the past month.
According to my fame, Haddo' markup is around 400%, our guild has sold in lands other than Fyros typically at a markup of between 500 and 600%. Not a bad profit, but hardly doubled. We had permission FROM haddo, as he no longer has to buy tickets and run everywhere to sell, and we get a little profit. My pricing method involves writing down the price of the Haddo item for sale, buying it and then reselling a little over the original. I only make a little profit over the original list price.
Poor homins likely couldn't afford a full set of Haddo to begin with, not to mention if you are part of a guild YOUR GUILD SHOULD BE CRAFTING. Work TOGETHER guilds, work together to harvest and grab mats for your guild crafters. This is not antitrust... this is free market. The fact that Haddo is the only crafter with the balls to be selling at that high of a quality, outside of guild, leaves HIM as a sole proprietor. If he has the market cornered THAT is a case in which you would use antitrust law (which btw is not just a law the US came up with and often breaks) because he has a monopoly.
Sure we didn't craft it, but we were the ones intelligent enough to see an open market and take advantage of that. The people who have been marking it up to ridiculous highs are not going to sell, and will eventually have to lower their prices... none in my guild are of this ilk. We sell at reasonable prices and have even risked life and limb to open new markets in places like Tryker.
By the same token I don't agree with overselling at all. Just because someone out there MIGHT buy it at a crazy price doesn't make it right. That is why we resell at reasonable prices, to make a profit, but preserve the economy. The only solution to this is to stop selling items exclusively to guild members, and start crafting jewels so you can help keep prices low.
