yea... if by available you mean things like on the second tuesday of the month in winter if it's snowing in france and someone was late with the coffee.. then sure.

Why did i go to lvl 200 forest? because by the time all (up to date) modifications were done, I was at 150 - might as well finish it.

PR is not harder to level then forest (both are significantly harder then zori & fyros though)

As a matter of the fact techlord is getting less DP in PR now then i'm in forest.

What do i consider good stats? Supremes are better then excellent - why should PR harvesters get better mats for exactly the same effort as forest harvesters? It doesnt matter if you get hit by a kinchers or a cutler or a juggula while digging - you'll be dead ether way.

It took me 3 days and 46 deaths to map the nexus for mats, I wrecked a set of focus armour and jewellery. Both the TPs dont work and never have.
Cuttlers are on a large patrol range and detect at 30m there.
In fact Ill say as Im there every other day that its 10 times more dangerous than PR these days, the shear amount of aggro does not compare.

I have found alot of excellent, only a few supremes and have also found quite alot of excellent in the upper bog as well which is alot less risky.

However the abyss of ichor the matis entrance to PR is mostly certainly the most dangerous PR area that I go to, in fact the risk out weighs the reward.

LOL, I being a n00b to PR harvesting decided I was gonna have a crack the other day and picked this very place, after 5 deaths in 5 mins and only managing to pull one mat (of which I did'nt manage to collect as a kincher ate me along with it) I gave up. There are some stoopid places to harvest and this is the stoopidest :)

I like the Flaming Forest more and to discover why it might be worth someone mapping it out but I certainly aint telling :P

Supreme Mats in the PR zones are time/season/weather dependant as well, so saying that excellent mats are more difficult to find in normal lands is somewhat innacurate.

I didn't vote, because the option I would have chosen isn't there.

I think that SOME supreme sources in a q200/250 zone would be nice. A PR Excellent mat is better than a Fyroan excellent mat, in my eyes. And the same could be said for the supremes in home continents if they implemented them.

Really, I don't see a problem with keeping excellent/supreme sources rare or difficult to find... as you don't see many harvester/crafters out there selling their supreme wares to anyone but other guild members, and in that case they SHOULD help you forage in the PR.

What's the point of levelling a racial forage higher than 150 so you can get the PR spec? I'll tell you... because of the difficulty in getting mats in the PR, alone you will seldom be able to get ALL the mats you need for a particular item... except for maybe pikes, amps and other three mat wonders. So you use excellent or choice mats from your race to act as "filler" the item you end up with, presuming the majority of mats used are PR Sup or Ex your item will also be Sup or Ex.

As a crazy mofo who solo explores everywhere he can get his nose into, I recently found myself harvesting alone in Wastelands completely surrounded by Jugulas and Tyranchas... I managed to pull a good 120 choice mats before a mektoub became victim to a tyrancha and tried to get me to help him out. Being only in the 70's for melee, I didn't last more than a couple hits. Was I pissed? Naw, I got some mats, had fun, and managed to level once in PR forage without anyones help/protection. Really, if you want to make it easier to forage in an area, take a team down there to hunt out all the creatures first... people keep ignoring the fact that if you kill a whack of creatures and don't collect their mats, they take longer to spawn. I also have yet to see anyone kill an entire patrol, or heck, even take out all of clopper hill and Clopperketh.

I would also like to see my tracking actually work when I tell it to find excellent big shell, instead of finding choice sap or some other mat... but maybe I just haven't figured it out properly yet.

The success rate of digging a mat out along with harvesing modes between race specific lands and PR is exactly the same.

If you forage race specific to level 150 only to get PR specialization .... well this is less then optimal as it would take you the same amount of time to get to lvl 150 in PR foranging.

I completely agree that PR should have a risk vs reward factor built in; except as it stands right now, PR risk is lower then nexus (which ether should not be there or should be multi race zone).

Getting to lvl 150 foraging in PR is as easy as it is in forest (forget fyros and zori - mat location should be changed there just as much as nexus needs to be removed)

So there we go, once again - there is no distinct reason to gain race specific foraging; PR is there, templates of all forages will be the same.

As for someone posting that 3k per 1 mat pre-patch 1 is not an exploit - it is not, i never claimed it was - those were game mechanics that introduced a loop hole; and from my prevoius threads - i'm all for getting inside of those.

My original post (and every next one on the same subject) is talking about the rules.

Except that without PR spec you don't collect as many mats OR get as stable a dig, two things that speed up your levelling.

Not much of a difference though

that entrance SUCKS bollas! I don't know what they were thinking when they programmed the patrols there and mob locations, but goollllyy, how about giving someone soloing a darn chance through there.... after my 11th death trying to get to either TPs, I gave it up and went another way...

My last solo mission I ran to get to Yrkanis went through underspring, Zorai, and then all the roots between there and and the Nexus. Maxed my DP, but had a blast and got some extra teles I didn't have before. The hardest part was Umbra, lot's of Tyranchas near the exit I wanted to take.

I waited like 40 minutes, standing in one spot, for a hole to open. My patience paid off, and I managed to grab some shiny PR amber while I was at it.

Note: While running around, don't wear your armor/jewels... you are just asking for them to degrade. Don't put them on until you find a good spot to harvest in.
