Using Vendors for Storage.
Re: Using Vendors for Storage.
my problem is not the people that stor stuff it is the 0 Quantiy items that do not seem to dissapear
Re: Using Vendors for Storage.
Solution is rather easy, at least in theory. Allow for multiple ways to store materials, more than currently exist. Fix the current system by allowing players to BUY apartments in EVERY city and in every civilization, providing they are not highly negative in fame with that race/civilization. Allow for a banking system, it is insane that this game doesn't have a bank.
I would even be for and see as an improvement, the banking system Wish had. Easy way to explain it is like a real life bank with an ATM card system, you deposit money in ANY bank and can withdraw it from any bank, you deposit a REAL item into a safety deposit box, for a fee, and you can only withdraw it from that bank (just like real life).
The issue as I see it is not JUST one of storage, which is how it is expressing itself, it is one of travel AND storage. If Travel were to be made easier, like once you get to an area you can port there. If loading times were addressed, as it seems that I am not the only person that takes loading times as an extended AFK time (time to get a soda, make a sandwhich, shop for groceries...jk but only slightly) then the issue of portal costs wouldn't matter THAT much.
Loading times seem to be my biggest issue, I don't mind dying...I mind loading, I don't mind porting...I mind loading, I don't mind crossing a civilization portal...I mind loading. I don't mind crafting, buying/foraging for materials...I mind the travel and the loading that that entails.
Part of the storage issue is a real time issue of storing all that stored stuff on the server, and part of it is the slowing down of leveling...which is...like it or not...part of the survival of the game. Think about it, once you get to 250 in ALL skill trees...then what? Honestly what END game is there...yet? So once you get there and find nothing new...won't you leave the game...having "won"? And if you leave, won't others? Point is that that DOES happen, there is a ceiling, and if we all get there too soon...the game is over.

Now this is what we have all said and know. The game was not ready when put on the market . Its still not ready. This is why we get frustrated.
Good job saying it so clearly.

Re: Using Vendors for Storage.
Yes why dont you break the rules and harress people that are doing nothing wrong. Tho using NPC for storage is neither against the rules nor a bug your comment is clearly without a doubt harressment of other players.skipster wrote:Here is a bright idea I have heard stories of people messing with the toons that are foraging and use the vendors as storage. Basically just walk up to there popped nodes and just hit dig once on all the ones they are not digging on and they are not able to dig off them. If nevrax does not want to make a punishment for doing this maybe the people that dont approve of that method could start doing this to the foragers that use the vendors as a storage space just a thought though.
Re: Using Vendors for Storage.
Excellent!.... another 6 hours of digging coming up.
Could someone put a hawker in PR?

The official answer I got was "they say it's not a bug nor exploit"
