It appears as though after level 50 or so your ability to fight doesn't increase much. By that I mean it looks like level 150s can be killed by the same mobs that level 50s currently fight and can be killed by.

My numbers are guesstimates, but you know what I mean.

This is the strangest set of posts I have ever read, and I wish I didn't have to 'bump' it with a reply... but!

Combat, my ladies and gentlemen, is insanely broken, but hopefully not beyond repair.

As I am not under 50 combat, I will not combat on it's viability. As for being 100+ (137) it is UNACCEPTABLE.

I *may* survive a ragus (level 56) rush in the the 0-50 realm *if* I have all my specialties available (melee invul, full self-heal, etc.) - but that is not even guaranteed. oh yes, and that gives me a whopping 0 xp. I absolutely, without an insane amount of luck, kill something even 30 levels below me.

So effectively, I can't even travel safely in my own lands, through zones that are WAY beneath my level.

As for grouping. Despite the fact that hardly no one is left, we were able to put together a group yesterday. Combat was equally as stupid. We were able to kill things that yielded *some* XP, but it went like this:

Attack!
First round someone dead, bomb heal for insane amounts.
Second round, someone else taunts. First person is rezzed.
They are dead. First person taunts. Bomb heal for insane amounts. First person dead again.
ad infinitum until mob may be finished off, so long as mob doesn't get on bomb healer.

I AM NOT A DAMNED YO-YO OR JACK-IN-THE-BOX AND THIS IS JUST STUPID!

All of this amounted to a small amount of XP and 0% fun.

I'm glad at at least three lower level fighters are having fun. Get to know one another in-game, because no one else will be playing.

oh, and by the way, they completely broke bomb

I heal for 800 without bomb, and for around 200 against one person standing near noone else with any bomb 1, 2, or 3

I don't realy care how the game plays, "BUT" Just do away with the "DUMB" DP!!!.... IT makes me so mad that I now play just to get rid of the DP. I don't like to play for hours just to "HOPEFULLY" (not to get more wile doing it) get rid of it! With the way the mobs are NOW! its not fair or FUN! Lets just have one or the other, no need to have DP and killer low level mobs. It realy would be better. Just my 2 cents!

I have to say that since this morning when I first posted this thread, I've also read many posts from 100+ level melees saying that it is impossible to fight mobs 30 levels below them. I'm reasonably convinced that this is the case, and if it is, I do agree that it needs to be fixed. I maintain that combat for me at level 47 is not impossible, but clearly something seems to be wrong at the higher levels, and should be looked at.

then try being a level 130 and trying to find something you can take, that even gives you xp.

(this is a reply to the very first post.)

With a 133 in 2h pierce i was able to solo mobs getting around 800-1kxp a kill. Only 2-3 in a row, before I'd need to break.

But then again, so I'd have enough SP to get everything I wanted, I took 1h pierce to 105 and CC to 118. I like being well rounded in fight ;)

Interesting; thanks for the reply, Zzei. So, are you telling us that it is not impossible to solo at lvl 133? I'd like to be clear on that.

Impossible? No. Harder? Definately.

Here is my take on patch 1:

Most the way down the page, but a good read IMO.
