I am in their village EVERY day, I talk with their hunter everyday. Which is another reason why you will find me at the Birds of Omen camp so often. There are no Matis in their camp. The Icon Worshippers are a Zorai only group. Their name speaks of the fact they praise the Kami (who is in their village). Please post a screenshot of the Matis in their village.
He got the wrong camp - the dead seeds (or at least I think that's their name, it's easy to get them confused) in maiden's grove give matis faction (and a lot of it) when you do quests for them. I think I've done maybe 4-5 quests and am at +3 in matis. They also give kami faction (without the negative karavan faction most other quests give), and have a kami in their camp who also gives out quests. There obviously are pro-kami tryker and matis groups out there, I wouldn't be surprised to see a group of zorai in matis or tryker lands aligned with karavan.

Currently the Icon Worshippers also give Matis faction. I know becuase I have been working on it for a long time. The odd thing is that just recently my Matis faction started to go up when I was going missions for them. I really do think it's a bug.

All the seed tribes are Matis tribes.

If you go see the Company of the Eternal Tree, which is mentioned in much of the story you'll see that they are a total mixed race tribe. Maybe Icon Worshippers are a bug, maybe they're just loyal fans of prince Yrkanis. There is no reason to assume either way.

I am more convinced than ever actually that a guild group is the way to go. The event was fun, but many of the people we just picked up along the way were way too undisciplined for the group to make it. If our blinding mages hadn't quit the game recently I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue for us.

In a group or individual, the key idea is patience, discipline, and organization. People running off screaming into the beaches or roots just get everyone killed.

The reason why myself, Tyrranie, Gremlin, and Sen and a few others were able to make it so much further on our own was simply that we didn't have loose cannons getting us killed. One person who panics, kills the whole group with dragging aggro onto them. Maybe it is because Tryker lands or so much harsher that people learn faster, but I've seen fewer problems with the Trykers in this. We would be able to travel in force, though with the upcoming changes to link spells I'm not sure any guild will have the high levels necessary to travel through the roots and bounty beaches again. We'll see, if so Pilgrims will be one of them to do it.

Regardless of whether Pilgrims or CP can or can not do it, I don't think membeship in our orgs should be a requirement to do so. I would like to see a difficult solution to quest or pay for travel. Wouldn't it make sense that for the right amount of credits even a powerful tribe could take one through? Maybe buying off the Pyromancers to extend a little immunity?

Oh and Botello, I maxed my death penalty three times that day alone getting into Fyros. Trying to use the spawn exploit in umbra roots (and nearly made it several times) before giving up and giving under springs another try. There is a pass through there which has more potential for success, but it requires a ridiculous amount of luck.

Well, at least now your getting specific. :D I like this idea, and it sounds something like what it SHOULD have been. Start with this and be detailed and send a letter to Nevvy ;)
