This debate is showing why everyone should have access to the test server, not just the kool aid drinking fan boy's.

Do a server wipe every few weeks, and disable GM support, this will keep people from using it as their full time server.

LOL! The thing is that the "kool aid drinking fan boy's" are the ones who were dedicated enough to pre-order the game. So why shouldn't the people who have been with SOR since beta have the prevlidge of seeing the new stuff before everyone else? If people really wanted to be able to play on the test server, then they should of pre-ordered.

WRONG ANSWER! The point of the test server is not to "see the new stuff before everyone else." The point is to TEST the new stuff.

There is absolutely no proof that a pre-order customer is more likely to be a good tester, than somebody who signed up later. Earth to raynes, lots of people don't follow the MMORPG early release/beta schedule. Many of us have jobs and responsibilities, and we don't buy games until we see them on shelves at Gamestop.

So don't penalize us, for being good paying customers who just happened not to order early.

Is this really an exploit? It's a PITA, but what can you do. It happens in every game with a merchant system and limited/expensive/inadequate means for players to "pack rat" items. SWG, DAoC, FFXI...etc etc

Alrough in SoR the cost of apartments are outrageous, We have pack animals available to hold things, and the number of items a player can already hold in inventory is quite ample.

On top of that, weapons and armor are not very durable -- you go through them fairly quickly, so you are less likely to stockpile that old sword you've outgrown to pass on for future generations of alts -- the items just won't last as long.

So yeah, you'll see some Q10 daggers up there for 1m dappers, But I don't think the incentive or need to do so is all that apparent given the nature of the game.

Actually the test server is in a way an advanced look at things to come. Even Nevrax promoted that way. It might be to also test, but it is also a sneak peak at things to come. Access to it was promoted as a benefit of pre-ordering. That information was posted on the website long when pre-ordering was goign on.

As for the coment of lots of people not buying the game till it's on shelves. Earth to you... the majority of people playing the game now didn't buy the game on a store shelf. They either downloaded it, or ordered it from a retailer online. That's a fact becuase distrabution in retail stores was messed up completly until about a week ago.

You can cry, scream, kick say how life is unfair, how the Kami want you to test, say Jena approves and thinks you would be a great tester, it does not matter. You like eveyone else had the chance to pre-order. Pre-ordering was well advertised on gaming site, on gaming retailers websites, and on this website. If you didn't take advantage then you don't get to use the ATS. That is all there is to it.

Also forgot to add you make the comment for not penelizing you for not-pre ordering. Well why shouldn't those of us who did pre-order get the exclusive benefit we were told we would get? A benefit of being able to log onto the test server and not having large amounts of players lagging it up? Remember it's one test server for all countries. Not one for each area like normal servers.
