If it had said this, then i would still have gotten the mat spec skill, as this would be quite useful for me. However, it doesnt even do this. At the moment (post yesterdays patch), all it does is reduce some risk, no extra quantity. Even after "patch 1" patch, it wont give extra quantity :(

At this point I'm glad I never bothered with mat bricks. My harvesting has remained unchanged as far as I can see - I'm still level 103 and I still pull 8 mats of q100 from a q100 source. Oh, and just to be different, I do see a big difference if I use gentle actions as opposed to aggressive - I don't get as many mats per pull, but the sources hardly ever die or blow up.

Having said that, to change a skill or stanza and not even mention the change much less why it was made is a Bad Thing™. Seems to me that Nevrax are worried about people levelling too fast, hence the increased mob damage and so on being mentioned on the test server, and now this.

Much as I hate to say 'I told you so', I'm reminded of all my threads on communication on the old forums...

It could be something so simple that is staring you in the face that is causing the crashes. When did you last defrag? What size is your graphics aperture etc etc. :) No one can help you sort your crashes unless you post specifics, saying that you have a top notch pc doesn't cut it sadly. As you say you are into IT then you will know this already and have probably tried it but if you haven't, it is something to look at.
Appreciate your advice but as you acknowledge I work in IT (system administration) and I've tried all the obvious stuff and had SGM's helping me try to work through the problems for over a week now. If it was something I could change I think I'd have found it by now. I dont think it is though.

I left out the specifics in an attempt to keep the post short and readable, simply didnt want to bore anyone to death with specifics. I assumed people would read into 'work in IT' that I had done the obvious stuff. Still, thanks for trying to help. Hopefully the patching of the latest patch may help somehwhat!

I'd bore them to death with the specifics myself. I have found in the past that the only thing that works is making a huge noise. Good luck, hope you get it sorted really fast. :)
