so 80 hours of code time, in one month they have 320 hours of coding / testing they can do. changing stanza routines doesnt take that long. nor does adding messages.
Well I'm no programmer and is VERY pleased to hear this. :)

Correction if I may: you have to thanks Nevrax for what is currently in game..
And GF for keeping it on..

Talking about GF... Over one week since this thread started and over 15 days since last post on forums...
I presume holidays are over...
Have seen any of them lately?
-----------------------------
And lol at the name of this other company of Accel:
Dapper :)

So from that list of Company we could make the following.

Hopefully now that they have "GAMEFORGE", with the help of "DAPPER", let us hope they will make it "REAL" and find a "REMEDY" and that their "REACTIVITY" will make the game "PROSPER" such as they would "OUTSMART" all competition; without any other "MOTIVE" than for me to keep "MYTHINGS" on this "LIVEPLANET" ; Let's hope they will be "DILIGENT" and "AGILE" with the new updates and that nothing is left in "THECLOUD" so that "myHERITAGE" is not lost :)

Hello,

First of all i would like to thank all you wonderful paying customers of Ryzom, now owned by Gameforge, for your great feedback, and managing to reach 6 Pages without turning this into a nasty off-track thread.

I would then like to appologise if what i write below offends / upsets anyone, and i also hope it does not go against the CoC.

Thanks

Dear Gameforge,

There isnt a word to describe how i feel about you as a Company right now; dissapointment would not even come close.
Your [Gameforge] last update-post is the 8th of August, we are almost a month to the day. Yet since that time, you [Gameforge] have managed to lock threads, deleted threads, and post rather detailed responses on what you didnt like about these threads.

I am confident that most if not all of the paying customers will support me in saying, we would prefer a post from Gameforge about what is currently being worked on to improve Ryzom and provide solutions to requests made by the overwhelming majority (*cough* e.g Storage *cough*), then to have the only confirmable work, be over-moderating issues which in all honestly, are here because of the lack of communication from Gameforge and progress of the game (Lore, Patches, Content, etc).

How hard is it to make a post Announcements section to lets us all know... the following is being worked one, and are in these stages.

Simple really...

I really hope you can spare 5 minutes to write us all that update post.

Thank you

Try visiting Gameforge directly and all is well... no need to panic yet ;)
I still wonder why Ryzom is only mentioned in the company history section, and didn't found a way in the game lists on their site.

Not that I paniced, since I don't have to loose much after I canceled my subscription today.

Or "not being worked on" even :) so we actually know what your plans are for our game's future...

If you only plan on letting it die then maybe letting it go to the Free Software Foundation in December would have been a smarter decision.

I just posted this URL seperatly for translation; however I am writing more about it here as it is directly related to this post, and i wanted the translation request post to stay as clean as posible :)

http://mmog.gdynamite.de/specials_846.html

Anyway, using Babelfish, i got a very crude translation of the interview; enough to post the following points/concern:

1. GF suggest they dont have skills for a 3D games
(from the development of aufwaendigen 3D-Spielen(PLAYS) no notion have) - Babelfish
(Klaas: We did not develop ever a aufwändiges 3D-Spiel, that are perfectly correct. And if I would look for a developer for a MMOG, I would not go also to us, although we developed already large projects and are therefore not completely inexperienced) Google Translation - Thanks Jayce ;)
- That explains the lack of changes since take over

2. GF say their skills are "Good in PUBLISHING & MARKETING"
(We are good in the enterprise, in the Publishing and the marketing both from Browser and with clientbasierten plays)
- Could someone please show me this good marketing of Ryzom since they took over from Nevrax?

Finally:
(the Ryzom team in the development. Together we will move worlds.)
- Again, could someone please show me what world got moved?

Except for Outposts/PvP, Atys is the same as when i Beta'd it back in Mid 2004; (considers paying £8 to log-in on with Sept 2004 account)

I hope everyone understands, i am not demanding content, simply responses.
I believe as paying customers we have the right to know the vision / direction and ultimate future of this game.

And as posted above; if Ryzom has turned out too much of a challenge for GF; please have the profesional courtesy and let us know that is the case.

Regards

From what I was told by many players and friends alike, Gameforge will not continue any serious development in Ryzom until they attain a satisfactory level of income - quoting the exact words I was told.

I don't have any opinions regarding that but at this rate we all are only going to get more and more frustrated. What if its going to be like this for the next year? We all play and love the game very much but will it be worth playing if there isn't going to be any future development?

Take for instance.. several members of the community including myself are willing to advertise on behalf of gameforge but what can we promise the ad viewers?

- No massive RAID invasions.
- No Active Live Events.
- User created Ring content? its novelty has worn out I guess.
- No story progression, as Spires comes next. The community cant support it though. If they need to proceed they'll need to discard a whole segment of the story and re-write what comes after that to follow through.

In a sense there isn't too much we can promise the potential players - which probably is the very reason gameforge is reluctant to spend much on advertisements.

The lack of response isn't very encouraging at all. :(
