if it truly would be FvF, then if you want to join op battle, you would need to tag up (for fvf).
same thing goes for GvG. if it really would be GvG, then there would be just "Tag up / Neutral".
btw, the FvF reference is from old loading text (?) that said that factions need to conquer .. hmm, nexuses ? it was just after outposts launched i think, about a year ago.
No I haven't been involved in outpost battles, although I've been past outposts that were declared againts so I do know how the declare for it works but I didn't say it was designed to be FvF, I took that from Jayce who was using it as a justification for how they approach outposts. I'm not saying it should or shouldn't be AvA, FvF or GvG, I'm just saying I don't think much of that perticular justification but I don't play on your server and I don't like either side in this circle of hatered so I'll just leave you all to it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Karavan themselves admitted that the fruits of their OPs go exclusively to Karavan members. Perhaps you also buy mercenaries with them as well. Doesn't matter.

Some Kami have apparently decided that they want the entire Ryzom community have the same benefit that the Karavan would prefer to remain exclusively their own. Yes, that even means some of the benefits will go to other Karavan, in addition to the Kami ... and neutrals. It wouldn't surprise me if other Kami supported this decision, contrary to what others (Karavan, mostly) have tried to insinuate.

It is more likely that the outpost rewards will continue to benefit all of Ryzom with the outpost in the hands of the community outpost project, since it would be looked down upon quite a bit for the Karavan to then attack and take it from them. It would broadcast loudly a confirmation of my personal feelings for the Karavan to take any outpost from the community outpost project. The responses so far have done much to advertise this as well.

If someone wants to give away something they have to someone else, um, what business is that of yours? Don't try to force everyone to be as greedy and as selfish as you are. Go back to your myriad of outposts and play with them.

If you really want to fight over an outpost, donate one of your many outposts to a Kami guild, which can then be fought over in a good and proper war. If your motive is not simply greed, then this would be an ideal proposition.

Or fight each other. This would be another ideal proposition for those without motives of greed.

That's playing the game as the game was meant to be played.

Again quite simply because outposts are to be fought for. =)

If this was about supporting the community TS could have continued to do that. Who better to fairly distribute the resources then TS. Instead you choose to grandstand and use it as a political tool on the boards. Once things began to turn out diffrently then you wanted, well it must be the communities fault, or the fault of people who do not care about the community. There is a reason the kami community is shrinking and it has nothing to do with me or the Karavan.

i have no idea who the original poster is. nice that you do?

if it hurts you so much not to have this one outpost to conquer then attack it, what is stopping you? they are PvP content arent they?

so stop talking and attack the outposts then

Holy Crap, what an excitement about this :)

All this paranoia nonsens around it...Dunno why some KA's getting so overheated about it, it was a Kami OP and goes to Community OP. Most Kami's have no problem with it.

Propaganda, yeah, indeed it is propaganda, it shows the Tryker way of sharing etc. Bad for Kami's? Paranoia and since when do KA worry about Kami ;)
Ok maybe bad for KA because attacking that OP is political a bit more complicated, but that makes game only more interesting.
Already seen somebody call it a safeguard exploit! Hilarious. Calling it a exploit is ridiculous and insulting.

Please reread page 62 of the manual titled "Alliances" to learn how the game/OP's were designed before you keep chiming in... jeez !

That is not ideal at all. Outposts are not a combat game. They are not a team sport where you bring 12 people and I bring 12 people and we see who's faster and stronger and more skilled.

Outposts are politics and diplomacy. I play outposts every single day, even if there's isn't an actual battle for weeks. The battles can be nice sometimes, but I'm more intersted in the bigger picture.

It reminds me of a computer chess game I used to play- when you took a piece, you got to watch a nice little video of a fight between the two. But you knew who was going to win, the pieces were set up before hand, the fight was just eye candy.

The big picture is real saga, real story, real effects on the world (or as close as we can get.) Giving away outposts to take them back defeats the purpose. Its artifical and contrived.

If we want a fair fight, we can go to the Matis arena or Lands of Umbra. Outposts are not necessary for that and in fact guards would make it unbalanced.

Hmmm what do you consider you have to do to defeat kamis? Genocide?? kill them all (make them go karavan or have them leave the game)?

Btw this is my last post on these forums for awhile so i will add something that is bugging me alot. Are you so unhappy in real life that you and your friends in game can only find in enjoyment in destroying other people's game play? By sending abusive/threatening tells to your enemies, by trying to pit them against one another for you can sit and laugh at them being unhappy, well deep inside you still feel like your real life is complete ****?? I am getting to the point where i am sick of the abuse that is dealt out upon myself and the many other kamis i call friends, against the karavaners i call friends that chose not to have a part of the KA. I am almost to the point of saying fine have the land of atys... I just hope in time you and your "friends" maybe actually find some happiness and enjoyment out of life

I'm glad you think that. Their allies sure dont, and that is really all that matters.
