that may of sumed up 90% of his post as you say, But unfortunetly he is pretty much correct... A shame isn't it.

Different linguistic constructions are required (and tried) to cut through different people's prejudices and assumptions. What works for some, doesn't work for others.

Yes but some people (Myself included) do get somewhat tired of hearing the same thing over...and over...and over again
sometimes it must be said... others you should just let it slide... Like in this thread. I may agree with what you say sometimes (On some other topics I disagree)... But in some cases it just doesn't need to be brought to the conversation.

So long as the one side is told, the other needs to be. There are new people around after all.

Yes there are new people... But this thread was here to try and lighten the mood around here do to the OP thread which is burning on atm... And in some cases you really just should let it go for a bit... let the thread last a few days then put your side in... Let people have a little hope out of all the crap around them. New players can see other post just fine.....

Any post that brings up this continuously contentious issue, and its 'dark genesis' in Ryzom isn't going to stay fluffy for long. Them's the breaks.
The poll is interesting though, though I suppose it reflects that players who are more likely to stick around are also more likely to involve themselves in every aspect of the game, including the forums, and that is hopeful and uplifting!

I was there in Ep2...
Was a younger big blue dolt in those days.. Ina guild calle Orobourous Nocturna (remember them?
) balance was closer back then...
I remember being very proud that I killed enough Karavan to by meself a hairy skirt.. which i was unable to remeove from my inventory for months on end...

It was supposed to be a light hearted exercise into how many new people V how many old people. (bascily seeing if Ryzom 'lasts the distance' and how attarcive it is to newer players) It wasnt a dicussion on what EP2 was about, or wether or not you enjoying it. It wasnt a discussion on how PvP 'ruined' Otherwise i would have not had the title of the thread like it is.
The real issue is that the people who are arguing have been saying the same point for 6 months or so, and been saying it over and over again. (that goes to everyone not just this thread) TBH most people are bored of it. Why cant people face the fact that NEV felt like sumthing needed to be done otherwise it was doomed. so they did sumthing and its worked.(and even if you say it didnt work. you're still here, readin this. so duh!) They're not going to go back on somthing that has made their company more finacily secure.
