I don't really see a good reason (except Pos digging all the sups! :P ). I don't think population is high enough to actually require a new shard, iirc shards were supposed to host thousands of players, and wrt friendships it could take a hit, guilds to be renamed, divided, etc... after the shard unifcation pre-ring.

That said, it would be nice to see that folks from Themis again - nothing wrong at all with Jolt ;) - but Takashi -- skinny Matis with knitting needles --, Plangent, Azhrarn -- pantless GM -- and co.. that'd be cool :D

Rather than 'splitting' a new server could simply be restored, in time, after all you can have characters on multiple servers and - if things keep getting better - it could help spread the load of new subs.
