Yet another refugee here. SWG was my first MMO and sadly I had to leave it after NGE was pushed live. Tried other MMO's but never felt at home. Glad I found SoR!!!!!!!! I feel like I have finally found a new home.

Boost from Intrepid

I have been stubborn about swg. Have tried a few other trials of other mmo's but wasn't impressed. Only played a few hours last night after download but liked it so far. My swg accts are still active though. I have played swg since launch on intrepid, mostly as a crafter. Crafting is dead there thanks to the devs. Spent my time On SOR harvesting and having not a clue what I was doing lol. Died a few times not realizing I was being attacked. Tried once or twice to kill what appeared to be easy creature but instead died. Not sure how to identify foe's strength/level yet. Did figure out how to learn skills, had 95 pts I could spend in learning. Still haven't figured out how to craft but just came to forums today so maybe can find more info on that. Hugs to everyone

Welcome to Atys Lajeaune!

if you like crafting there is a lot to do on Atys. It might not be as big as it once was in SWG (yes I played it before I came to Ryzom), but still there is a lot to craft, so i guess you wont be bored at all.

The crafter missions on RoS are quite nice, so shouldnt be hard to figure out crafting after that, I think. And otherwise just ask in the forums or in the universe chat.

Hi Everyone, I'm came from SWG myself although I quit that game quite awhile ago before it was destroyed. I like to think my toon, a master pistoleer/master swordsman hopped in an escape pod before the whole game imploded. I somehow landed on atys and took on the form of a fyro. Not sure just what is going on.

What I loved to do in SWG was go on hunts, I loved old school Krayt Dragon hunting, the loot would be used to sell or use to give to crafters to make new weapons. Would I be at home here?

I have a lot to learn about Ryzom but the first impressions are good and can't wait to learn more. I'm having fun so far.

I too played on Intrepid for all of you other intrepidians I say a fond hello! Hope to see you ingame.

Bitter and Jaded ex BH, ex Commando, ex Smuggler on Chilly from SWG seeks mello, clear minded, skill-based game to fill the hole that a certain Evil Entertainment Empire left in my chest after ripping out my heart...

Heh, you caught me. I have been SOE - sober for almost a year now... been homeless ever since. I miss my skill-tree, (I won't miss dumping hard earned skill points if I want to lay-off one skill for awhile just to pursue another!), I miss working my butt off to make my first, decent T-21, and yea, I miss Dragon Hunts! Man, the only thing that could have been better about some of those pre-CU Krayt hunts is if we coulda taken the Wurm's head and mounted it on the wall of the condo! heh.

Sure hope SoR can fill the hole in my chest, even a little bit.
