I would like to see a customizable menu for equipment/weapon/tool configurations. For instance, equip for crafting with light or no armor, save that configset to a button. Equip for melee, 2HS Heavy Armor on button 2..etc..etc...

I totally disagree with this as it is the first step to breaking the communication code between the server and the hacker's computer with Ryzom client.

Note: I'm totally not accusing the person who mentioned this of intending it for this use, I'm just saying it (the user coords) will eventually be used for this purpose.

All they have to do with the character's location, is insert the coords into a trainer, (or use SoftIce) and then whammo lots of wonderful things start to happen. If they know where the character is, then they can gradually start to piece together information related to that character, including mobs surrounding that character, spells cast towards that character, the number of enemy characters hit points etc.

A good example of this type of problem is in AC Darktide, where there is a program that people use that if you have a war spell cast at you, the computer automatically moves you in a bunch of little directions at once, so that you do not disrupt the computer (your computer and the server pretty much totally agree on location), but you move in such a way that the war magic spell can not hit you.

Any information released with regards to the communication code between server and user should be held in strictest confidentiality please.

I don't understand why a person really needs coords if they've got a map anyways. Other than to make it easier to find people of course, but whatever.

Say NO to location info. pls.

Zeke.

That is fine, it doesn't have to be the exact same one that the servers use, could just be a longitude/latitude type system that was overlayed over the map and scaled with it as you zoomed in and out. If you have ever made a map there has to be somekind of number system to do it right, I just want one displayed so I can see if I am anywhere near the same spot I found that excellent seed in yesterday.

And my suggestions:

1. Add in the functionality that allows me to open the chat line by using the "/" key, is a bit of a pain to have to hit enter then type out "/tell <name>" or any of the "/" commands.

2. Has already been stated but is pretty important... The ability to reorganize my inventory into seperate compartments. For you men out there that have never seen a woman's handbag with only one compartment, it is a nightmare to find anything. So let me put this stuff into different areas of my bag.
Someone above said it was possible to arrange your items in your bag... I can move them around but the items after the thing I am moving to/from a spot will randomly move. So rearranging becomes an exersice in frustration and nothing more.

3. Slash commands for all the emotes. (this is a wishlist) And a list of all the slash commands in the game, now and updated when changes are made.

4. Immediate saving of all the settings that are saved on my computer when I set them. Is really annoying to be on for hours and have set a bunch of landmarks (hours ago) then the game crashes on my computer and I loss my landmarks because they are not saved until I log out of the game. Silly me thinking my character and everything associated with it was saved when the line Alystra saved. came up in my sys window. Also, have this saved to a specific file that can be backed up incase you need to run recovery (since that program deletes all your landmarks for you).

5. Did I mention some sort of location system... :)

6. Harvesting Status window (window above the resource node with health, etc. in it), either need to be a seperate window that comes up on my interface or is a window that will always be on top. ie. really a pain when I can't see it because some flyie thingie has decided to come check me out while I am harvesting.

7. The trade window would inform you of your bulk with the items you are about to get. At least a red message telling me I will be over bulk with these items, so I don't lose some items (as in they disapear into thin air) if I hit accept and it results in over bulk disappearance.

8. The ability to choose what icon will appear on the action hot key when making a custom action.

9. And one final note, this is in the major wishlist catagory: Make it use the hyperthreading of my cpu. ;)

One thing I would like to see...

with the ability to stack items mentioned already .. the ability to degrade the quality of a Mat so that it will stack with other like mats. So if I forage 2 q50 fine dung resin and have 1 q51 fine dung resin, I could make a single stack of 3 q50 fine dung resin.

+ Modifiable or multiple default attacks. For example a primary attack that can use stamina points until your stamina bar is depleted which fails over to a default attack that doesn't use stamina points. During fights I'm constantly hitting "9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, etc" to hotkey a +Damage +Accuracy melee attack. I'm sure magic users would like to define a default attack for a close range, no sap offensive spell also. PLEASE have mercy on my left wrist. :) It's getting painful after a long gaming session.

+ Enchantment augmentation for medium armor. Increased enchantment capacity, unique enchantment types for medium armor only, increased ease of enchantment, lower sap recharge costs, etc. I'm a little fuzzy here since I haven't actually made any enchanted items, but I don't want to see medium armor relegated to "parade" or "townwear". Anything that would give medium armor a tangible benefit over light or heavy.

Thanks for listening.

You already can do this with the fight tree skills. Double click the ability in the hotkey bar or doubletap the key quickly. It will highlight it with a bold border box instead of a soft solid border box. Mages still have to hit 9 9 9 9 9 9 99 9 9 9 9 99 999999 though, no chatting for mages :(

Thanks tetra,
Will try to tonight. Maybe I can get some feeling back in my left wrist now. :)

More stacks in Mekotubs.. And items must be stacked (at last identical), or as jesder said - So if I forage 2 q50 fine dung resin and have 1 q51 fine dung resin, I could make a single stack of 3 q50 fine dung resin
Very problematic, now storing foraged mats... 2 q50, 1 q49, 3 q48 and etc...

Whenever I cast a magic spell the camera Jumps to focus on the current target..which often totally disorients me in combat. I saw a toggle option for somethi like this that didn't make any difference. Wishlist?

Not about to read all of this thread hehe. Here are some things that would make game play more enjoyable. Many probably have already been suggested. Anywho, here they are:

Make it so the camera can zoom out farther. I feel clausterphobic and cramped because of the limitie zoom out range. Also, it is very hard to see what is around you.

Make it so we can log out to character screen instead of having to quit the entire game.

Make it so we can target using the keyboard and the targetting "cycles outward" for each mob you select.

Make it so that we can arrange items in our backpack the way we want it. I hate auto arrange. My wpns and crafting tools always end up mixed in and I can't find them. Also when harvesting and you get attacked, it makes it very difficult to find your wpn to equip it. It would be nice to be able to place these items in one of the top spaces and have them stay there.

Well that is all for now..Will add some later.

Probably been requested before but here's my request

Give players the option to toggle in game resolution between current and 800 x 600.
