Second off, then give me some other way to stop YOU and any other Kami lovers from completing their temple. I would kick you pick and break it, explode your sources, anyhting I could to stop you. It just so happens it appears to be a cult war. And the only way I have to stop you is to knock you unconscious(sp?), not kill you, and then keep you pent up in your little camp.

Noin.
Jyudas' more effective ways than ganking to stop temple building...

1 - Dig your own ones faster. (Gets yours built and disheartens the 'enemy')
2 - Swap factions and destroy the other side's materials by camping their craft zone. (No honour, but if you want to meet the goal this would be the most effective way to stop the other side doing so)
3 - Protect your own harvesters rather than attacking (The attacking force leaves their harvesters unprotected and thus suffers a slower progression).

Attacking is, actually, the LEAST effective way to prevent temple construction in the enemy camp.

Lets not fight on the forums over all this PvP stuff. Lets just all join together and blame Nevrax for not listening to us earlier. We can then stand united against a common, erm, entity.

Anyway, when R2 comes, we can all make our own happy zones; lands of fame and fortune like the good old days, or lands of gore and aggro like us PvPers like.

But in answer to the OP: There is only challenge in the PvP stuff in organised teams IMO because one-on-one is just a question of levels and one-hit-deaths. Well, for noobs like me anyway.

And my general feeling is that the whole thing is really only about points for prizes, and IMO I think the prizes are likely going to be so lame that it's not worth getting bothered about anyway.

Nevrax have created a situation where people are required, rewarded and encouraged to attack non-combatants.

Dont they have any morals ?

I've tried to see it from all perspectives and it just seems as though the people who play this game in such a fashion are playing a completely different one from me. I'm not even directing comments at specific people or factions or guilds as I've seen it happen everywhere..and (upsettingly) in situations where i thought that some players' behaviour would be 180 degrees to what it turned out to be.

I really hope things turn a corner.
Jool is leaving? Jool can't leave!

Yeah, that seems to be the biggest problem here. Not that all diggers are noncombatants (I'm a fighting-back kind of digger), but that all players wishing to participate in this event are required to expose themselves to attack from the opposing faction. There were no roles created for noncombatants. That's what's missing. Maybe Nevrax would consider including such roles in the next event.

Some ideas are...

Put some of the needed components for whatever's being done into a really challenging pve only area, like say have the paint ingredients for the temples pop as a mission mat in one of the kitin nests ('bughouses").

Have an Aen level NPC boss we all have to knock down in order to set up the construction sites in the first place.

Have some event-required mats be hard to locate mission mats, like maybe the karavan or kami camp guards or teleporters need to eat to keep on working, and have developed a taste for fresh eggs found in some barren region of the prime roots.

All I've got time for since lunch is over - but that's the general idea.

So then, why do you guys love episode 2?

I don't get it.
Where is the challenge in killing an unarmed digger in 1 or 2 button presses?

Surely you can't like this. Even if you love pvp, you arn't getting what you want from this event (a good challenge). Why arn't you up in arms about it?

This content, that is centered around you guys... isn't very good. I know I'm wondering where my money's been going, but why arn't you guys?

Yesterday I soloed 5 diggers because of unique tactics I used. That was Very challenging. Othertimes a well formed teamed I was a part of took on twice its number. This is alot of fun
