I'm a bit surprised and dissapointed by the reaction of alot of people posting on this forum recently, I understand that you've all been waiting many months for new content and to find it not to your liking must sting quite alot, but it's only just begun. We are what, 2 days into it. I realise that you feel that this is how the game is always going to be, but no one can read the minds of the makers of this. Perhaps factions will be decided through war and then some sort of alliance will happen between the two in order to fight the true enemy, the kitin. Perhaps before everyone throws their toys (and their subscriptions) out of the pram, you could just give it a wee bit longer. You've waited months what's another week or so.

Kodel.

I think I'm going to officially add myself to this list. This will be the first month I don't renew my subscription. I will come back if R2 is worthwhile.

2 days or 2 weeks. IMO no difference. The PvP thing isnt bad, some things might be improved but it could be far worse.

The most disappointing point is, that Nevrax has launched something, that doesnt fit into the past of Atys and Ryzom. Read the lore and you will understand what I mean. Seeing this happen after all the improvements they made in the last year (ex. communication, website) leaves a very bad taste.

The storyline is bunny-hopping! we miss big lore immersion, big long speech who makes you dream to be "walking" on atys instead of playing a mmog. We miss some "philosophic" lore, by neutral people. I want extrapolation, some exciting story who switch on your phantasmagoria machine and motives you to actually have a homin behavior instead of a bot-grind behavior in game.

All you get now is some homins who /wave and /bow at you, speaking with a "good RP", but tens minute ago they where merciless killing players for some rank on killboard, or just release some stress, playing like it was a shoot'em up game. hard to bear.

In-game atmosphere is different. I dunno how long it will takes to revert back as before.

perhaps, perhaps not.
those who have waited nearly a year of content where non-PvP ppl can contribute (dont speak about crafters here), those ppl are not gonna wait another month for some "promises" Nevrax may give.

they have lied us before, and most probably they gonna lie us again.
only thing now is to belive in actions, not words.

you want to live in a world flagellated by a religious war?

NO THX!

I'm not that much of a pacifist but why we have to fight when we were able to live in peace for a long time?

We have heard words from old players, so i want to post something to represent the newbies:

1. I came to Atys right before the war and was simply amazed by it's beauty by the kind and helpful people inhabiting it. I thought this is the best game-world-setting ever. Now it has turned into a purposeless slaughter (Religious war my ass! people are not trying to Build temples, They are only playing the PvP Ping-pong running back and forth between camps spattering enemy blood)

2. What I hear now is Karavan ******* and kami scum on every corner from the same "nice" people I have met before.

3. I can't really train and grow in skills because my honor calls to fight for the cause i support but as soon as I set foot at dunes I get killed immediately.

4. Now I think that this world has suddenly become much worse. The FvF content spoils and corrupts people. Аnd ryzom is not just graphics and lore: It is the homins that make it special....

Summary: I can't understand why a beautiful world has to be turned into a Freaking Quake-kill-em-all. I don't like it and think it is terribly wrong.

I don't know if there is any more sense for me (as a newbie) to keep playing...

We seem to have dropped down a lot in the ratings on MMORPG.com as well...
