I was originally a zorai, but as I was new and still learning the game I decided to have a look at other races and used fyros just by chance, somehow he ended up as my highest level character and I didnt think anything of it again. Now I'm glad I made the switch as fyros are easily the best race to play,

I would however never ever ever have made a matis character as the look odd, have the worst land and are dodgy karavan followers

I had three different starting characters on the Islands, Matis, Tryker and Fyros. I was trying out different things trying to understand the game, not feeling ready to go to the mainland.

Then I met someone in the Fyros Island, got on really well, they went to the mainland and I went with them.

*points over the horisont* Fyros there is an oasis near the voting pool. Are supreme oath barks all over the place. And big shells.

*makes a public anouncement in Plaza* Matis, the King needs you. To vote.

*starts singing* Trykers, there is a party near the voting place. Music and beer and fashion shows.

*shakes the tree* Zorai, stop meditating, come and vote.

I am a fyros but quickly learned thet Matis had a small advantage. They had a spot that gave exc sup seed, exc fibre & exc amber without having to go too far from Yrkanis. Then I learned that they also had areas ( nexus) which could give supreme mats and could be well used by any race that worked at it.

I worked both my Fyros & Matis fortaging skills and now have a lot of skill points (SP) to use as a result. I am now approaching lvl 210 in deserts and 160 in forest and have kept both craftting options open. I try to keep my crafting skills on a par with my foraging skills but it tends to favour foraging.

I have little in the way of Q250 skills as I only play within the game. To be honest my highest skill is is q200 desert forage. Next is healing at 132. Forest forage is q150 but getting better. I do not power lvl but I would like to get my mage a fraction more as my q150 amp is at a 96% one. I happen to be the founder of one of the few Matis Guilds that are actually Kami. So, if you are a kami in Matis without a home talk to me or Drafly. We've been here for years and have a lot of good info between us.

Exce amber / seeds near Iagra Hill, between Kips and Cows. Seeds are right on the road, near the palm trees. Also near goari place, same area. There are other exces there but only on rain and only q50. Tou I only needed seeds and amber at that time :) Is close of Pyr, only a couple of gingos (err... dogs) to pass... so those skinny matisans have no advantages :P (j/k)

PS I think I got my sorry butt busted one time when I made team with Darfly, just after they overpowered the plants. Lol, we were droping and we could not figure out why.
