The new matis sit animation is awful. It is not a sit but a one knee kneel. Seeing a toon kneeling for hours like that would just get on my nerves. I like the old sit animation, it looks much more relaxed.
Since this is all or nothing I say keep the old animations, unless they can add the ability to choose your sit animation.

Next up:
-two-legged bunnyhopping for Trykers to remind them a little more of their ancestry
-spread-arm grunting and a cape for Fyros, ancestry again
-fullbody hairstyles, color black, for Zorai, do I need to mention their ancestry?
-back-stabbing for Matis as idle animation while in groups, a tribute to tradition and history
[/irony]
OK, I, as many others, like the idea of differentiating the races a tad more. The thought is good.
I won't go into detail, nothing about resemblences or "the dignity of my char", since it's a do or don't decision at this point anyway. Plus, it's stated that if we denied the proposed change it will propably return at some point in a reworked version.
These'd be a matter of personal taste and we'd be getting used to new animations anyhow.
My statement to the proposed animations is very simple:
Ergonomics
What I'm pointing to is our, the players, ergonomics while playing the game. Key phrase is "The resting eye".
It is absolutely disturbing and by far more strenuous watching our Tryker, Fyros and to a degree Zorai chars bounce their way through Atys. Who's walking outside of town anyway?
We get an ergonomics tour with our mouse drivers and might even have adjusted some of our stances in front of the monitor, but might get a headache playing SoR for two hours with these jittery main movement animations. Sorry, that's not it....
Reduce the vertical movement of our chars to a minimum, compare to the current animations please, and I might be willing to accept well-thought animations, even if my main Fyros char looks like caveman/woman from sideview.
Anyone who has access to it, try the new animatiosn on ATS, really. Videos won't contribute to the playing look and feel too much.

Another reason why i voted "no" was:
Since i feel like i said in my last post in this thread, i think that adding something new (which always comes with bugs and troubles that need dev-time and patches to solve) will bring more problems (production time) then keeping the old ones.

I can´t help it, but I need to stress XoloX here (repeataaaaaaaaaa):
It´s way too uncomfortable to look at for longer playing sessions with these bouncy movements. Take a look on the ATS. Try to avoid being "fooled" by the videos.
thanks

I think its an improvement overall. I say we accept it and ask for changes later on, when they have time.
Says the Fyros-cool-running-male whos into Trykettes like hell
*whom did Jyudas bribe at Nevrax ??*
Now look at Psylo, like having two broken wrists. Well, Psylo does feel like this after 5 hours of digging sometimes. But he would never show, there is some pride left

Sofar it is 274 yes, 250 no, 17 undecided.
It looks like I'm going to be warding off not only aggro mobs in the future, but also horny Fyros who mistake me for something else.

Probably you are right. Lets have a plan B.
Plan B is: We are running that way cause we are cool and relaxed.
I know, they do it for PvP
And i am gona take part if they chat me up

i don't get the problem with the tryker female sit, not all females are proper highbred(pompos) matis Ladies. I think its very nice to see a more relaxed sitting posture. I am very woried about the bouncy male Trykers though, I really don't see myself as a high strung rabbit.
I like all the others but i do agree the matis have an odd sit but then, they're Matis so what u expect

If you are judging by the video clips alone, I fear you are going to be very dissapointed when this is patched live.
If you can get on the ATS to check this out, I strongly suggest you do so.
