Hm. I s'pose I can just find something important to a lot of people and make a blanket statement that cannot be proven, even by science, and act like it was fact.
But I won't.

Gonna start it out with this... I haven't really been watching this thread becaue I honestly didn't think it would create so many waves. I'll be keeping a better eye now. And as far as that "newb" kid account name. It's an account name I've used for years for various things. With various......things...that have screwed with my memory, it's in my best interest to use the same in a few places.
/IC
I'm glad my few comments created so many waves. The defensiveness of these Karavan "followers" (I prefer mental-trykers...or "Slaves") is very suspicious. I've noticed how incredibly insecure you Karavan lovers can be, with no real support from your leaders. They do not belong here on Atys. Even the look at them. The Kami are beautiful, they blend beautifullly with Atys, they belong here. The Karavan however, are ugly, and they stick out like I would in Yrkanis. To the trykers, I understand where you're coming from, being the slaves of native Atys. You're looking to rebel against that which enslaved you, and some day you will come around. Unfortunately, to the pompous Matis, there is no hope as long as the Karavan continue to stroke your over-inflated egos.
And about our faces, the Kami did not make us put these masks on our face, we voluntarily had them genetically sewn to our faces to show alliance. We are the race closest to the Kami (not to discredit the noble Fyros). We love and respect them, rest assured, as such my mind will not change!

riveit wrote:Karavan followers should believe in an original bountiful world by sheer logic of their other beliefs:
1) Jena is good
2) Jena is the Mother Goddess, creator of homins
Jena put her creations on some world. This world must be a great place because she is a good goddess and wouldn't drop her creations on an impoverished world in an offhand negligent manner. Something must have messed up the place and made them leave, probably sinful homins or evil Kami interference. Of course, she could be testing her homins, but the cradle comes before the school.
More fairy stories and supposition - 'must' is used a lot in this post because you can't bring yourself to accept the fact that your false god is an evil invader. So you make up these fantasies of a benevolent creator god to suppress your fears.
Show me fact.
FACT - Jena and her Karavan lackeys have declared their intention to invade Atys.
FACT - Jena and her Karavan lackeys are aliens.

Your most fanciful and ludicrous statement so far! The Kami are native to Atys so how could they influence another planet? Not least one that exists only in your imagination!

Your own refusal to consider the arguements of your opponents, and attempts to distract from reasoned debate with petty insults, is the surest indication that you have no case. Those of us who were here from the beginning have our own understanding of the Lore, and may not be up to date with the latest version of the Kami's revisionist 'history'.
Jena and Ma-duk may be the leadership of their respective factions, but it is the actual Karavan and Kami which we deal with on a day to day basis. On those grounds I find the Karavan preferable to the Kami.
The Karavan may wear masks, but the Kami ARE masks.

Hearsay, rumour, slander.
Deny the truth all you like. I have listened to your 'arguments' and see them for what they are - suposition and fabrication. Where is the truth to support your case? Give me facts, not fantasy.
Jena is a war monger, nothing more. Do you deny she has declared war?
The Lore was created by homins, not Kami and not Karavan. Would you deny your own ancestors? Are you Matis so without honour that you dismiss anything that doesn't not suit your purpose (i.e. the desire to rule) as lies? Despite the fact it was written by your own kind?
I too have been here since the 'beginning' and I pity you. That you can dismiss the truth of the lore because it does not suit your purpose. By 'our own understanding of the lore' you prove you make things up to suit your needs.
OOC: I'm assuming you're Matis based on your post about the Slavers
here. Apologies if this assumption is wrong.

Thanks for the offer, but I've already found me a guild. Unfortunately, I don't hate EVERYONE, just the Karavan. I don't even necessarily hate their followers, they're just weak and mislead. But thanks again!

HAHA...ok. My apologies for HONESTLY not realizing that so many people got a Kincher up their bums over this (/OOCI f you caught what I said about NOT keeping up with the thread before.) but I assure you, I'll be watching now. And when I said support from your leaders, all I meant was that the actual Karavan are a "semi-presence" here on Atys. I ask you to be careful that they don't leave in a time of need, because they have NO obligation to this planet or its inhabitants like the Kami do. If the planet is destroyed by the Kitin, the Dragon or the Goo the Kami lose their homes and will die with it. The Karavan can split. What does that tell you about their dependability?

The Kami are shapechangers, altering their appearance to whatever will sway the weak-minded and gullible into beleiving them harmless and friendly.. that is why they look cuddly and childlike.. never forget you havent seen their true shapes and that what they are wearing is a deliberate attempt to sway your mind.
That was my original reason for mistrusting them - i hate people trying to 'sell' me stuff, even before the Matisians natural sympathy for the Karavan (Yes, I am a Matis
)
The key principle of the Zorai is faith and spirituality, the Matis seek order and control. This can happen in a bad way, imposing that control on those who dont appreciate it.. as most of the military/political adventures of our history have shown, but it can also be a good thing, as we improve our land and our lives, and help those who accept our assistance. Science and politics are the natural pursuits of the Matis, the first explains why we like the Karavan, and the second why we arent fooled by the Kami.
The Zorai's faith can easily become fanaticism, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, even as the Matis are prone to arrogance and other eccentricities lesser people fail to understand
Dont blindly follow ideaology, remember the Karavan came here to help us..
