So we're looking at a total of 8 victims.
Surely that's 1 male and 1 female of each race? Perhaps the Investigators should use appropriate bait, based on those facts? I know that's dangerous for the Homin involved but I have every faith in the ability of Pyr's Guards.

EDIT:
Also has anyone tried matching the victims to the Homins mentioned in the letter?
I'm guessing that the one that stays in the grand hall was Rosine Antosi (Female Matis) as she worked at the palace,
The one that the Guards may save could be Aelon Ibiseus the paralized man (Male Fyros) who was found in the doorway as he's "merely" paralized and may be cured in the future,
The one that sidles up to me could be Jongi Ba-Lon (Male Zorai) as he was getting cozy with the "un-named female",
Bile (Female Tryker
) could be one that doesn't rhyme a-right as she does not have any surname - tenuous but it kinda works.
I'm not sure where Xyrila Aedon (Female Fyros ) - it's possible that she "sought a cozy doorway in the middle of the night" - but likewise that could apply to Aelon and as we seem to know the least about her disappearance, she may yet be a hostage and thus save-able by the Guards - which is kinda confusing.
That leaves a Male Matis, a Male Tryker and a Female Zorai left if we hold by my first theory, which must be the one which takes it from Five to Four, the one which "sets the town alight" and the last which is the most fun of all. Possibly.
