The question is: Will Ohforf escape this time ? And if he succeeds to escape, will the nose get visual contact ? And if the nose gets visual contact, will it blast Ohforf friends and urge Ohforf to be a PK ? Will Ohforf become the first lvl2 PK in history ?

Really ?
July 8, 2005.
Policy : Change in the Code of Conduct - Third Party Software by Vince (Head of Customer Support) I would like to remind you that the use of third party software, aka macroing, in order to abuse the gameplay is forbidden in Ryzom. The Code of Conduct will be modified to state it clearly, very shortly. Even if it is already stated.
I presume that the GMs have guidelines for the punishment of cheaters, and if needed they can ask Nevrax for thougher measurements.

In any case, it is up to them to judge, not us. We should voice our concern and if the botting becomes more frequent, ask for more stern actions.

Id prefer they made it so you couldnt do it in the first place , make it so you cant prospect if you have the Take/Drop mat window active and make that unmacro-able - no more problem :p

Edit hmm ok that might not work lol , ok make it so the Kami nuke you if you dont take the mats youve extracted on three consecutive pulls

Player organised lynch mobs (thats 'party' mobs, not critter mobs :p ) can substitute for game content/events organised by Nevrax :D

..thought of another penalty/punishment - this is an excuse to let my sadism run free - Set the offenders Kami AND Karavan fame to negative, so they have to pay to respawn in any city, and can only respawn freely at the zone portals.. roleplaying the effects of being an outcast..

as for Petej's suggestion about more Kami nuking, I have dug-and-dropped when I had a full pack and was trying to clear DP, so its not only bots that do that (tho botting would take the pain out of clearing DP.......)

It would fit in with the Kami not liking waste of resources and maybe the loss of DP removal with a full bag is a price worth paying to get rid or atleast make it harder for the botters ?

Well said Dazman - there are few things worse than being punished for something of which you are not guilty. And the true offenders probably won't feel the punishment anyway as it is something they have already decided to risk. I also agree with Alewine; cheaters are only cheating themselves - clicheed but true.

Several warnings should be sufficient for most people, but if someone persists in offending repeatedly then I like iwojimmy's shaming suggestion of removing ALL their titles and allowing them only Botter. Roll back their character enough to hurt and it will likely be deleted - leave them with their ill-gotten levels and they will be tempted to continue but everyone should know who they are and choose whether or not to deal with them.

lol, i love threads like this, Botting while afk or asleep, rofl, after getting a couple of forage trees to lvl 250, i'll tell ya now, Forage will do a few things to you, ...

1/ Put you to Sleep

2/ Make you chain smoke & drink a tonn of coffee

3/ Make you go AFK alot to stretch your legs when sources are down ( mainly PR )

4/ Turn you into a roBOT, it is so repeatitive.

it is the most BORING thing in the game, i hate ppl who Bot, especially after i spent so long gaining my lvl's legitimatley but on the other hand, i do see why they do it, it is so darn tedious, especially PR Forage which can take 4 times longer to lvl.

I think botters are the scum of the eart.. er.. Atys!

Nevrax shouldn't care about the few dollors/euros whatever coming in as they're arn't that many around for it to make an impact. Plus it's a moral thing.. and having respect for true players that should make the decision.

One thing that does bug me tho which might be something to temp botting is the moving of identical items to merchants. Like when you have a mass of the same thing to sell after crafting. Why can't this be done for items aswel as mats.. Like moving earrings one by one is such a total waste of time it's untrue.
