Look, with everybody arguing about what they want and what they don't want, it's unlikely that an agreement will ever be reached. So, here's an idea.

How about these new titles are not used as title changes, but title additions. The old titles would still remain in game, but players will have the option of 2 titles whenever they reach a title giving level. This way, the people who like the old titles can have them, and the people who want the new titles can have them as well. Everyone is happy :D

I wouldn't really like the title "Slathist" for myself, but some people probably would. However, being a Tryker, I would appreciate the title of "Raylerist" for autolauncher skill.

You dont count Refugee , Homin , Kami Champion and Karavan Champion as RP titles ? or do you mean you want "Role Player" ?

Apart from the fact that the Champion titles require the person to have been at the Nexus Event and handed in some mats you mean? :p

(I was there but as a noob didn't get the chance to loot -> no title for me :( )

Yeah i was there too and at the Kami champion one (but didnt know you had to speak to the kami sentinal at the end so did all the work but didnt get the title :/)

Hopefully there will be some more chances to "win" those titles at Kami/Kara faction events in the future...

Agreed, even though I would probably never wear it due to being in a Neutral Guild. Would be nice to have it from the orignal though :)

There's no consistency and no way to identify other roleplayers, so a Roleplayer title would be a good thing to have, an OOC 'Roleplay with me' flag, so to speak.

about 101 range title :

what about use the "Shooter" title here since range fighter is definitely better at 51 :
1h -> "Shooter"
2h -> "Heavy Shooter"


some workaround new title to avoid the "master" at 250

Master Swordman => Elite Guard / Elite Man-at-Arms (since the shield + sword is the very causal soldiers of any army)

Master Axeman => Armslicer (i wanna said something "lumberer" but doesn't fit melee fight lol, so cutting arms of foes is the best close title i've find)

Master Heavy Swordsman => Great Slaughterer (i guess that what they do :p )

Master Heavy Axeman => Soldier of Pogrom (massacre, butchery... dunno)

Master Artilleryman => Highrange Demolisher / Elite Artillery Support (that skill have the greatest range and deal most damage per shot on group... must have a title related to that) , etc...

Elite Machinegunner => Assault Machinegunner / Elite Assault Trooper (he's in front line to wipe out as much enemies as possible)

i like the "techno-war" sounding title for range since those weapons needs ... craft technology more than magic.


about 201ish melee mmh... i'll make some research on the old names in some history classbooks...

For 51 I'll suggest Gunner...simple and to the point.
Then for 101:
1h->Pistoleer
2h->Rifleman(seems no way to make that gender neutral)
These apply better to the advance skills rather than the expert.

Then for these lvls:

Pistol 201--->Gunslinger
Launcher 201--->Grenadier(think Rocket Propeled Grenade)
Autolauncher 201--->Machinegunner(K.I.S.S)
Rifle 201--->Sniper

I think Master is ok. As an adjective denoting rank it has become gender neutral, i.e. Master of Arts, Master of Business Administration.

The 201's have got to go. I've spent the last three days with my Latin Dictionary and http://www.thesaurus.com trying to come up with something better for them and the 250's.

Anyone for Master Baculineer for Master Staff.
(from baculine: punishment administered with a rod or staff)

I was worried with "gunner" since it define people who wield heavy gun, machinegun, but not light weapon like pistols... Range Fighter sounds damn good ;)

For Rifleman @ 101 : it does not suits for a launcher, Artillery specialist people.
in fact such difference at only 101 is a bit wrong, since all other fight skill use very common name like "light armsman / heavy armsman". We can start using those specific words at 151 instead !

Here the new tree :

- 51 :
common -> (Gunner) / Range Fighter / Shooter (bleh :p )
- 101 :
1h -> (light/hand) gunfighter
2h -> heavy gunfighter
- 151 :
1h -> Pistoleer
2h -> Gunner (suits well for all the 2h skills)
- 201 :
1h -> Gunslinger
2h rifle -> Sniper / Rifleman
2h launch -> Grenadier
2h autol -> Machinegunner
- 250
1h -> Headshooter / Pistol Master
2h rifle -> Elite Sharpshooter
2h launch -> Elite Artillery Support (i love it more and more lol)
2h autol -> Elite Assault Machinegunner

instead of Elite we could use Veteran ?
