The poll would have been better with an 'as is now' option as well, but the average score at time of making this post is -1.1 (plus a bit). Which would seem to indicate a slight lessening, rather than an extension is in order.

I have no interest at all in getting murdered as I'm exploring the further reaches of Atys, even in mistaken self defense by a harvester who sees me walking around with my amps on. Cant see the fun in murdering other players, and thats what non-consensual PK translates to.
Duels and formal party fights are fine, may the biggest nuke win :P , but for me, if i want PvP I will play UT or Desert Combat, with less lag and equal/balanced sides.

It seems most of those in favor of open PvP zones are high level harvesters trying to deny other harvesters access to mats. As some smartass famous person once said " The greatest enemy of a free market is a successful capitalist "

btw, i haven't played UT or DC for months now :)

142 votes..
And only a small difference...
It is wrong to do the conclusions, being based on this poll. It can give the general 'image', but... I assume/it's possible, that the part of users which is not using forums - has other priorities and opinions ..

As already stated, this is not an accurate crosssection of the populace, or even a poll of all the servers for a true crosssection of the entire playing populace, and therefore cannot be considered accurate. But what it CAN do is give a very broad and general feel for the atmosphere in the game at the moment, from those that read the forums. Nothing more, nothing less. Perhaps a post of this nature could be mentioned to those who don't post in the forums, so that they could also present their opinions? :) But I think that you'll find that the poll does reflect, very broadly, mind you, the feelings of a large portion of the population.

Its a larger and more representative poll than many of the ones being touted about the current UK election :)

the poll represents the views of those who care.

If people dont get involved in the forums, and dont present or defend their opinions, likes and dislikes, then Nevrax will be reduced to borrowing CIA mind-reading equipment to find out what they want.

And the accuracy of that gear is truly abyssmal.

Pretty much what I was trying to imply subtly, Iwojimmy, but since you already dove to the heart of the matter, yeah, that's pretty much it. :) Truly, most of the people who never visit the forums, and never get involved on the forums, really don't care what direction or initiative the game takes, they are must here, marking time, until the next MMO comes along that grabs their brief interest.

Although, I could wish that some that DO come to the forums and present their opinions could learn to do so a bit more diplomatically, but hey, at least they DO care enough to be active here. :)

PS: No, that wasn't a poke at you, Iwojimmy. :)
