time to wake up and smell the coffee, you are the one with an attitude problem.. You post a suggestion on the forum, dazman76 replies to this giving his opinion on it - which is probably what most of us think - there is no way on earth for them to implement what you suggested without rewriting the entire game. durr
So from a polite reply you start this thread. omg get a life, or failing that stop being a forum wnker as u so nicely call them and try to think about what you are posting.

Go go off topic, there is no need to get personal, to wrongages don't make a rightage.
Babbage - invented 'the computer', but he was a typical man and didn't make any notes. Lovelace, his 'lady' documented his work and was later honoured for this.
Napian - as in Napian's bones one of the original forms of computing devices.
Just so you know.
I think Ada was American

lol but I could be wrong!
(how many points for this post?)

And besides, if someone claims (wrongly) to have invented something, isn't the correct, even dutiful thing to do to point out that error, whether or not the original comment should have been made in the first place?
And finally, we were having a bit of fun at each others expense. If that's a crime then by all means lock me up

Could not have put it better myself.
Plus personally I'm hoping suffiecient sillyness will cause Lawrence to lock this pointless thread.
*pokes Lawrence in the ribs and tries to summon some enthisiasm for work (NOT)*

I feel that I must object to this racial stereotyping... the Chinese people are of similar heights to most other peoples, It is the Japanese who are generally shorter. Had to get that cleared up.

Ook?

Wanted to make this just a one word post, but I have this problem preventing me from being bored. You see, I never had an education worth mentioning, especially with SQL.
case:
tableX
ID(key), value1, value2, value3, value4
ID is unique
In theory, any combination of value1 and value2 can excist BUT a combination made is supost to be unique as well and have an ID.
So my table is borked for one proven case. I dont feel like reading al 20K+ lines, but cant remember the correct SQL statements either....
I am using, to my great regret, MS-SQL 2000, Profiler for squatting SQL scripts on the dbase.
How many points, btw?

Weeeeellllllll....
if you saying as I think you might be that Value1+value2 is unique in it own right, then the value3 and value4 in you key are redundant and according to Cod, this is so naugthy you should be beaten hard with a wet fish.
Value3 & 4 should therefore be data items associated with the unique key of Value1 & value2.

I never said either value was part of the key, just that value1 combined with value2 is unique per key as in the functional design.
value1 to value4 are just that, value's.
I asked for the command that allows me to make a comparison on the same table and taht will say something like:
Lemme know which pair of value1 and value2 from that tableX have a combination that happens more then once in that table.
You are up to 8, but you are messing up off-topic with uselessness.

Yes, but unfortunately our colonial cousins have as much of a problem expressing and understanding it as irony and many, many, many genuinely believe those to be American accomplishments.
Besides...
"Atom bomb? Indian!"
"Computers? Indian!"
Nobody but Brits will get that, so I'll shush...

Ah I see, I mistook your intention - you were just setting the record straight for any misguided people out there. Apologies.
And, being a Brit, I get it.
Ook to you too Frydes!
