I suppose thats the crunch,

Some people play this mainly to relax as in any other type game, and others play it to play another role, in a virtual world.

This is my first RPG, so tbh, i don't think I know how to RP. I try to help everyone and not really into the random PKing. But hay, thats me in reallife! Also this means I haven't seen the mess and misery that PKing has done to other games.

Personally, I'm happy to see people play it the way they want to. And if you go foraging in a warzone, then you gotta expect to be cannon fodder. It is a team game and you should have a team to protect you, not necessary there with you, but on call to hunt down the cowardly dog that killed you.

How to please both types I have no idea. Although the tag thing is probably the best idea, although open to abuse.

Prehaps there should be a non-PVP harvest zone? Or would the harvesters that say they dont want to be killed, then still harvest in the danger zone???

(Maybe they like the danger, but just don't know it)

Its a PvP area simple! Nothing to do with RP!
You go there alone you take the risk! You cant expect to get the best materials wthout facing 'real' risk!
Ways round it I have already highlighted:-
1) Team up
2) Diplomacy
3) Question your religion
4) Bribe
5) Dont go there
6) Talk you way out of trouble....stall them with something then sprint / inv for cover, get some guildies in and take the critter(s) out!

Saying you dont want to parcipate in PvP when in a PvP area just doest follow logic to me. RP Should not be an element. Its part of the game! Why else would you level mlee / magic - without the realistic end of eventually getting to fight each other!

At present this game is very neutral, no warring etc, outposts will hopefully change this for the better IMHO!

Thats not to say when I eventually get o PR I will be killing people, (I wont!!) I just say let people do what they want, and its up to you to find a solution, solve the problem, dont take the easy option (moaning on here) be no challenge to the game!

To answer a few questions brought up:

- Will you buy stuff from a Karavan crafter?
If I know they are Karavan, no I won't. The problem is that sometimes it's not always known.


- Will you buy stuff from a known Karavan crafter through the mercs?
I can't buy stuff from Tryker or Matis vendors. My fame with both groups is to low and they won't talk to me.


- Will you use the karavan teleporters?
I won't lie to you I have used them in the past. I would say since I have started to RP my usage of their teleports has gone down 99%. There are still some tickets I have from before that I will still use but that is only to allow me to find the Kami teleport nearby.


The same with grouping. If I find out a group is made of Karavan supporters I won't join up.

His Alt on the other hand is a loveable Tyker named Flower, who likes nothing more then to run and skip about singing songs to the wee birdys

Aya i did list the non PvP PR places

WoW have separeted server for RP. I don't think Nevrax have money for that now, but all ~5 of you can RP in Zorai newbie island. Nobody is playing there anyway, so you will not offend anyone.

Again tho i will say someone might kill you not out of RP but becase they want those supreme mats

Dunno, I was under the impression that all PR was PvP?

No only the Lands of Umbra and the Nexus are. Abyss of Ichor, Underspring, and the wasterlands are all pvp free.
