I dont think that statement of yours makes up for the lack of posters agreeing with you.
But if it helps raising your self esteem to pat yourself on the back constantly - be my guest

Either give Ryzom a GOOD chance, or pee off elsewhere.
Its a good game. A seriously good game.

So before Ryzom, I played in two different MMORPGs. First was Earth & Beyond, before EA took a dump on it and lit it on fire. Then more recently, City of Heroes.
The reason I am here now (other than a complete mistake of clicking on a ryzom banner on penny-arcade, thinking it was a link to another webcomic), is because I grew tired of CoH's repetativeness, and I yearned for something where you could do things that didn't involve killing mob after mob repeatedly.
Anyways, through this entire topic, all I've been seeing is EQ2 this, WoW that, with just a dash of Guildwars, or whatever else people came up with. Frankly, I wouldn't touch EQ with a 10 foot pole, I really don't like the Warcraft universe, and guildwars... meh... sounds... ok, I guess.
Whatever, my point in all of this is that sure, this game right now is small, yes, it has had a couple of issues with distrobution (I'm sure I just misspelled that), but for the love of god, what game doesn't have its issues when it launches? Just because it has a few kinks to work out, in the first week it's out, does not mean it's doom. On top of all of this, I find it funny how the issue of content hasn't come up at all. The only arguments I've heard why ryzom will "fail", is because there are bigger brand names coming out. Not all of us eat at McDonalds, drink Coke, and wear Nike. Some of us look for quality.

I think we can only compare games that are actually released.
I see no sense at all to compare WoW with EQ since both are only in beta and no sense in comparing Ryzom with any of the 2 either.

Yeap, very well said ayne31.
For the anonymous "Unregistered", it is unwise to shunt Ryzom without an impartial judgement. Remember "better" is always a subjective word.
I do believe Ryzom will have a devoted group of fans.
Time will tell and just let nature do its work.

And this will be a perfectly usefull statement once I can take a stroll in WoW gold and compare my experiences there with your experiences on Atys.
