Japanese Fruitcake
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
Source: From Ruth Eargle in "Recipes and Remembrances" by the Waxhaw Woman's Club.

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup nuts, such as pecans
1/2 cup mixed candied fruits

Filling:
Juice of 2 large lemons
Grated meat of 1 fresh coconut, or 2 cups packaged flaked coconut
2 cups sugar
2 cups hot water
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour or cornstarch
1 (8-ounce) can crushed pineapple

BEAT butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix flour and baking powder and add to batter, alternating with milk. Divide batter into two parts. Into one part, add ground cloves, allspice and cinnamon. Into the other part, add the raisins, nuts and candied fruits.

GREASE four 8-inch cake pans and line the bottoms with waxed paper. Spoon the batters into the pans and back for 20 to 25 minutes or until cakes test done.

MIX lemon juice, coconut, sugar, water, flour or cornstarch and pineapple in a saucepan. Cook until mixture thickens and drops from spoon in lumps.

STACK layers, alternating spice and raisin-nut layers, spreading some of the filling between each. Ice sides and top with remaining filling.

STORE in the refrigerator or freeze cake.

What am I talking about? DCP's (Divine Council of Pyr) atrocious behaviour on Thesos...

Here is the story as I know it, for all of you to hear and draw your conclusions...

Last week, dcp's leader Catfud started bringing mobs to players who were hunting near thesos. Reason for this: he claimed Thesos was dcp territory... He also added he would not rezz members of our guild, but that is his choice of course. At that day a lot of bad talk started, and tired of being helpless about it a friend striked back, with some preety good results I might add, so dcp called an envoy, after THEY begun the stupid nonsense. So it was my friend who was "seen" as guilty by the GMs... real brave i think, go dcp.

After that, and some talk between leaders, it was agreed this behaviour would stop... but it seems today some dcp members didnt think they had enough so started the foul talk again (love them more by the minute, yes). Well my friend was the target again, so he striked back with the same weapons dpc's leader started this whole incident.

Brave dcp members again called an envoy, so now my friend is thinking of leaving the game (i can just imagine them saying AWWW... but well, the other words they know i wont write here or i might have some actions taken against me by forum staff). Good going dcp...

Btw, u just gained one more person that despises here too... keep it up the whole of atys might begin to your friend, friends that carry a knife just in case they get a chance to stab you in the back.

~Sipos~

P.S.- RAAAWWWR THESOS IS MINE!!! but why am i such a looser?????????
I have no idea who you are. I have no idea what you are talking about and neather do you.
First of all let me just say that this is very childish and irrelevant and if this is to spice up your life.....dont.

btw let me just state that I was actually there and didn't hear the "story" as you refer to.

lets break this down a bit.

Your saying that catfud pulled mobs onto you because he claimed that it was DCP territory?

Not only does it sound made up it also is and you were told what the real reason for "pulling mobs on to them" was. It was with good intentions and noone suffed any loss, DP or anything so I don't see what the fuzz is about.
There are many DCP members around also in Thesos but it's a big guild and it's harvesting and hunting just like any other guild. Don't know if your interpretation of this is that it's DCP territory but that's really up to you.

Your friend was seen as the guilty one by the GMs?

Well perhaps that's because it was? The GM told that this was not the first incidnet they had with "your friend" and they have had more complains about this person. This should ring a bell about who the bad seed really is.

"P.S.- RAAAWWWR THESOS IS MINE!!! but why am i such a looser????????"

Child..

Anyone who knows Catfud also knows that your fiction story just doesn't make sense.

I don't know if it's because that you fell intimidated about the size (numbers of members) of DCP that you are making this nonsense up but it's a guild with all kinds of people trying to enjoy the game like all other people on the shard...well almost all apprently.
There might be a few bigheaded persons there might be a few people that aren't that kind there might be a few persons that would always be helpful and nice...but what guild doesnt have that?

What's up with all the finger pointing?
Everyone knows the situation where two 2nd graders got into a fight and they both claim that "he started it!" It's not forbidden for you to think and then you might realize that they "story" you heard might not be objective.

"Brave dcp members again called an envoy, so now my friend is thinking of leaving the game (i can just imagine them saying AWWW... but well, the other words they know i wont write here or i might have some actions taken against me by forum staff). Good going dcp..."

only one thing you can really say to that...AWWW.
You didn't lose your friend to dcp noone who liked that game would have started this and noone who liked the game would leave because of this.
If you however did grow tired of the game and think about leaving you wouldnt really mind if you were to make a big fuzz out of this would you? so whats the worst thing that could happen to you? well.... you could get banned from the game but you wouldnt really care because you are tired of the game anyway.
Don't know if you want people to fell sorry for your friend are trying to make dcp fell guilty but it just isn't happening.
It's sad when someone leaves even your friend..the more the marrier but there is no way you can blame DCP for this.

I was surprised that people in general were pretty sound on this shard and it's really not that hard getting along with them.
This is the only serious problem that I have encountered and it was made something because someone wanted it. Think about it...how many times aday this thing happens where someone gets agroed, panics for the water and someone gets caught in the middle of it. The solution for this is normally a sorry and a res...no harm done and in Thesos near teleport you ALWAYS get a res since there are always so many people around harvesting, hunting or in town crafting/shopping.

..and what goes for Sayonara I can only say sayonara....sorry you left but im not crying and still getting a goodnights sleep.

I am a member of DCP and therefor I know that it seems obvious that I would take the defensive side here and my words have less effect. So all I would like is for people is to look at the big perspective and see how silly this really is.
What goes for you "ilthor" show yourself and your real interrest or concern about this and we'll talk about it instead of talking BS on the forum about what you know nothing about. Next time don't make people draw conclusions for you...do it yourself.

If anyone don't see this little matter as a closed case or have anything else to talk about please fell free to /tell Garcia ingame I'm always up for a chat and I'm sure that we can work something out.

Good gaming.

It happens all over, not just with other players but with mobs too.
does it ? my bad, guess I should have either shut up, or checked by making a fyros newbie first :p

Maybe a last positive post is allowed?
I was digging in Dyron for the last few days (now a bit done there) and a few things I noticed:
- Rezzing is always done when peeps can reach you (which they almost always can)
- No need to feel intimidated by DCP, the big guys mean no harm
- Little careplanning done by most, just had once that a newbie (must have been) started digging my source without asking and the same person made it explode in my face.
- The silly Fyros buy my full choice lvl120 Tryker heavy armors (mq plans with hp) like these are the only ones available... Wait, they are! I am the only one selling that good stats lvl120 sleeves, boots, gloves, pants and helmets in Fyros. btw guys, the 500% margin was a test, it kinda failed, I sold more at 350% :D . I will change the margin when I get online tonight. Also I hope that this post will be an incentive for crafters from other lands to sell some armors around the world through the shops, players will love you for it!
