Obviously I can't say much without upsetting the NDA, but I would have to say it would depend on the Homin. Atys it ain't, but it ain't WoW either It certainly has the mature community we all know and love.

I've tried hard to find a way to say this without sounding like an {x}ss, and I am not sure there is any, so I'll try to be soft and voice my opinion.... but I can't help thinking that, for the last weeks, these forums are becoming more and more not worth reading.

I understand that the lack of news is disappointing, but there are quite a few threads already for players to keep, to name it simply, the "forums alive", or just to allow folks to "keep in touch" with IG/RL friends. However, I don't think that the "limbo" situation Ryzom is now, or the fact that moderation is quite "tolerant", can justify the degradation that we (or at least I, subjectively,) perceive. I, for one, still want to check this and other potential sources of news regularly, in hope of a new future for the game.

I am less and less hopeful that any new post in this "update on the current situation" brings something insightful -- this is without even mentioning other threads, but those I don't mind -- I would humbly / kindly request that we try to keep spamming/IRC-like posts to a low threshold.

It's been said over and over again. no news will be released until the full process of the french legal system has run its course. To say "No news is good news" would be misleading but neither is "no news" a sign that Ryzom will never return. Legal processes in any country can be longwinded and often delayed for no good, or publicly admissible reason, especially in business law. When the legal treadmill has finally ground to a halt, we will be informed. Jumping to rash conclusions in the meantime, whether optimistic or pessimistic is pointless. When its done, it's done, and news will be posted, no doubt in a new thread. In the meantime all we can do is wait.

Hopefully any news thats worth reading will merit it's own new thread. Lets face it, if it isn't "XXX has bought Ryzom and plans to do ____ with it" or "Nobody is interested and the assets have been sold off" we don't care.
