What should be the role of mounts in game?

I can see 3 packers and 1 mount as a limitation in general if the mount can zone.

Just my thoughts.

Can anyone from the ATS confirm that a mount takes up a packer slot? I fill my three packers every couple days with mats and I can't imagine having to let one go (/rant and apartments are too expensive and very limited on space... and guild halls doesn't allow for indivisual storage and are really really expensive... /rant) if I wanted to buy a mount.

I'd like know soon too. I have to send in the floor plans for my outpost and they want final numbers (So is it gonna be a 3 mektoub garage or 5?)
