Hi Azal,

Scroll to the bottom of this page, and you'll see a Forum Jump dropdown. Click it, and scroll to the very top of the options - click User Control Panel. On the left-hand menu, click Edit Signature (first option)

Hi Ez and Waya,

I hope someone gets your patching problem fixed. I hate to get dp when your client crashes in middle of fight and you can't come back until your client has been patched once more ;)

I got my forum/Klients login problem fixed by just claiming that I had forgotten my account and/or password. Resetted password worked allright. i can't still figure how I managed to play the game with account/password combo that wasn't accepted by forum login.

I was almost certain that after clicking forgot password link, I wouldn't have working game account anymore. To my surprise I can still play the game. Maybe it breaks down when Nevrax finally processes my support request to forum login problem in 2 or 3 months from now :)

Thanks to Dazman for support and help also :)

Well, this post didn't have even 2 cents worth of help in patching problem, but maybe you forgive me as this is my first post in forums :)

The main problem is "sound files" I am not sure why DEV wont listen to our request....it seem to be that "sound files" are not installing properly, me and i am sure waya has the same problem is that somehow we get this loop over and over again"badly written codes" do not try to blame in our system because game was OK before 9th december patch..!!

anyway..when i am log in to the game I dont have sound (no sound what so ever) and yes I check the ingame config to enable sound still no sound.
my sound card is SB live with EAX.

Damn game software looking for sound files....where are those..?? and what is this junk"called sound files" that i downloading for 50 min everytime..??

Some people had problems with fonts.bnp file that was apparently corrupted during patching. That one was solved by copying fonts.bnp file from someone who had a working copy.

Maybe copying sound.bnp file from someone with a working copy would help. My home Internet is currently broken so I can't help with this file for some time (my homepna switch goes crazy after playing Ryzom for 5 minutes).

If Ryzom automatic patching has a flaw with some specific system configurations, even complete reinstall of Ryzom doesn't help as Ryzom would only hit the same problem again. In that case the file must be copied from someone else or it will be corrupted.

But I suspect that this one has been tested already.

Also, other possible solution would be to remove sound.bnp file and see what happens.

Those were just guesses but might be worth trying.

Azal: Happy to help matey :)

Ezex: I've zipped up the sound.bnp file, ready to get it over to you. I don't really have any webspace that will host it (the zip is 101MB) - If you'd like to do it, we need to decide on a method : MSN Transfer, Webspace / FTP (if you have some), or some other way. If we struggle with this, I can maybe run an FTP server here, and let you download it over night. I'm also playing HL2 a fair bit atm (offline), so my bandwidth is generally free for use - let me know mate :)

Waya: Are you having problems with the sound files too? Or do you need a different BNP file? Let me know, and we'll try and get you sorted too.

Nevrax: Hopefully I won't be violating any license by sending this files (as the people have obviously purchased the game). If I am violating a license, well that's too bad - get your patch code fixed and it won't be neccessary :) Small violations in license are betting than losing 2 paying players eh?

Thank you Dazman.. you are a life saver...!! (HAPPY NEW YEAR) btw, as my problem continues and thanx for you suggestion but i am affraid any attempt to change the softaware without permission will be counted as criminal act..!! beside any change will be over written by automatic update.

At the moment software behave very strange (completly out of control "run by dice") sometimes it goes staright right to the game and sometimes downloading the patch (most of the time downloading).

Never experienced this behaviour in any (logical) software, it is the result of badly written codes, what is funny is that this is affect a few of us (small %) while the rest of the community happily run the software without problem.

How ever i have been contacted by soulsnatcher and provided him with all the hardware and OS (computer system) information, see if those informations would help any to solve this particular instance of the game.

Let me shake your hand and thank you for your brave suggestion, Game community and the ppl like you makes the game intresting to play.
