i never read these forums unless theres downtime as theres alot of kids who take complaining like its something wrong and flame you for having an opinion i just say bring on the pvp in roots and let the spells fly

They DID give plenty of notice.

It's not their fault you don't read the forums, that's entirely your own fault you didn't know about the downtime.

That's the whole point of these forums, to visit them and keep up to date with what is going on. Those of us with the sense to read the forums have known for days.

i was complaining about the ammount of downtime too not just the notice in my experiance, in game notices usually work alot better than forum notices, as most people dont like to visit the flame fest we call forums.

Hi there!

Don't have much of a problem with patching, but is it possible to get the "Server Status" on the home page to work? It's always seems to say the server is open when it's being patched.

It's a pain as you know that the server should be up and running (eg. 1700GMT with the current patch.) at a set time and you can't rely on the "server Status" to tell you that it's still down for upgrades, so you waste 10-20minutes starting the client software and going through login and agreement screens only to find-out the is still down (eg. at 1735GMT).

So I ask for a simple request, "please" fix the homepage's server status, so it's showing live server status! Please!!!

If they need 8 hours of downtime, they need 8 hours of downtime. Who gives a flying **** what your experience is? Obviously you have no experience of maintenance that takes 8 hours, and this is it. Learn something new every day eh?

Please, please, please helbreat - stick your foot in the bath, and stick your finger in a power socket (obviously the socket needs to be switched on and the bath needs to be full, which I'm sure you'll complain about - yeah in my experience sockets are always switched on when you need them... bah my bath always fills itself... etc...)

Apologies to the rest of you but I really want to execute this particular troll, in the nastiest way possible...

because if we moan maybe they will find a way to patch faster as 10 hours isnt fast to me its a whole working day i know in the real world you expect people to work from 9 - 5 anyway so you think they wont notice the patch but guess what not everyone works 9-5
