There are both very easy and hard PR areas outside the intercontinental ones. If some regions do go PvP, nexus has to be one IMO 8)

Well umbra may be easier than others but for good reason, since it only has up to q150 mats. For anything higher you'll have to go elsewhere. I personally forage in the wastelands primarily.

Windy gate = q150
Elusive Forest = q200
Gates of Obscurity = q150
Trench of Trials = q200
Wastelands are probably q250 in all regions due to the level of mobs.
Under Spring and Abyss of Ichor I haven't foraged in yet.

Create a new portal zone, same as the Prime Roots, with more aggro and open PvP.
Call it the l33t R@@tz.

In it, have Choice to Magnificent Mats. There's the incentive for Harvesters getting ganked.
And then incentive for Guilds to want to control it.

Then those who want to do the Fear->Nuke from 50m on a helpless Harvester, or a "Look at my qu200 sword - between your teeth" strike on that same Harvester can.
Harvesters will have a huge reward for that risk.
Guilds will have something very sort after to control.

And people like me and the.. hmm 15 people I have asked who all seemed dismayed at the PR being open PvP (not one person has liked the idea that I have asked) can dig away in the PR with only the KPs and other mobs to worry about.

Just my thoughts.

Quartering a portion of PR off, or converting another zone to contain PR style mats ( without the open PvP ) wouldn't be such a bad idea!!

Ultimately however, I hope they please as many people as possible as we can't really afford another massive post-patch exodus of people Certainly seems like they ( the powers at be ) want to listen to our input prior / during / and after... here's to this thread getting a thurough read through and us getting the patch we all want heh.

I can understand some of your concerns regarding PvP. But , I repeat, nothing is set in concrete. This information was made available to those not able to access the ATS forums but who could log on to the ATS (which has been fixed). I don't think that it's fair to judge a new feature (be it good or bad) unless you have tested it yourself. Thus, if you have access to the ATS, I strongly urge you to test and report about it on the appropriate ATS forums. Everything on the ATS forums gets looked at by the devs, so obviously that forum would be the best forum for your concerns.

PvP is always a touchy subject because there are those who live for it and those who abhor it. It's imparitive to test these new PvP features out thoroughly. We won't be able to keep everyone happy, this is, sadly, a given. But with proper feedback we will be able to gauge the feature properly and perhaps make sure it has minimal negative impact.

So, we are to go to ATS, and forage, and see if anyone will gank us? Can you convince those that would be predisposed to gank foragers to also log in to ATS to gank us so we can properly report our displeasure with it?
