see?
I am not saying only good of WoW I am actually impartial even if still angry at ryzom for the bad changes in the mobs damage.
Question - have you tried the mobs since patch 21? In fact have you played the game at all since patch 21?
If not you are no longer qualified to make any comparison or comment of the state of Ryzom.
The rest of the community has moved on from Patch 1, can you please do the same.

For you ... when I get home I will TP to Matis, stand nakid in front of a scowling gingo and find out.
In return, I will expect one of the following things:
1. You class the result as still excessive, and stop posting negative comments about Ryzom (Constructive is cool, no fact based critisim is not)
2. You class the result as acceptable, and return.
3. You class the result as acceptable, and stay away.
Just for the record tho ... what do you class as excessive damage for a scowling gingo?

Only spent way too long on EQ's PvP servers... but even then, the maturity level there was superior to their non-PvP servers. But Blizzard with a background of Diablo and Warcraft will attract the bottom feeding class of people who only play to win and taunt you...

hmm level 45 max 600 hp, 60 hp are the maxium acceptable. anything more is too much.
I am waiting tuesday patch where they told that will reduce considerably aggro mobs damage.
what means 'class' ? not familiar with the way you used it here. you mean classify?
as for the try out you are going to do, I am grateful since I do NOT want to try out for myself and accumulate more DP. if you think I am posting negative now, you should have seen when I was alot more angryer than now.

Err... having only 20 levels of fiight as a mage specced in healing I have 600hp. 60hp damage maximum, sorry but that'd be ridiculous
1: fighters use heavy armor, good absorb on those.
2: every item you wear can have half it's QL worth in HP bonus... that's your weapon(s), shield, armor pieces, jewelry
3: you have self heal ability.
4: mobs have less hp, and a melee fighter can hit quite hard.
Mages can just fear / nuke... everyone can use embedded magic though it'd take a mage to recharge them and you'd need interesting spells embedded on a fighter's weapon, but still that's a help. What about a fear embedded so that you can flee or at least gain some time to get some help / get the heal to repop?

as a level 20 fighter you have 600 hp? like how? and don't come to tell me +hp stuff because a normal 20th level desn't have the money to affond those.
Also, what level of wizard you are? 40? 60?
I am talking as PURE straight fighter. at 45th level the maxium attainable hitpoints are 600.

If you, or anyone for that matter, post negatively and can't support you arguement. Then its never constructive! However in life I have found that once you get a reputation, good or bad, it kinda sticks with you forever.
As far as I know 'class' is a perfectly valid word to use in that context and it has a similar meaning to 'classify' so you got the intent anyway
Who knows when/if you try it out after the next patch, I beleive that you will find its a really good set of changes.
Shame you will have missed out of 4 days of progression and fun with the wonderful, mature community that is having a great time on Ayts.

This maybe the root of the problem
Its not that the mobs hit too hard its that Patch 1++++ put the emphasis on stats. High HP mainly.
My current regen means that I could absorb 60hp without flinching.
With full jewels and armour I could have HPs in the range of 2000.
If I remember rightly (vig < growling < scowling < baying) the scowling should be doing hits in the region of 100 Damage if not more. But I will still check. Even though I think that you expectation of 60hp damage is on the very low side.
A baying goari in Tryker killed a level 30 lady fighter in 1 hit (I think this is right) lvl30 vs lvl50 (hard mob) the hard mob should win.
However 1 healer + 3 mixed level fighters (average 45-50) chain killed Baying Goari and handle a double pull with ease. In fact they were dead before we got more than 1-2 hits in each!
The game has changed alot! For the better!
No more group of 9 chain killing lvl250 mobs.
