It's a pavement!

Also, if they refer to Bristol, they mean the one in England. Same with Soho, Reading, Denver, Birmingham, and Durham. Cleveland is in Scotland. Doughnut has eight letters. A flashlight is someone who streaks at a candle-lit memorial service.
And the best one I've seen, is "lb is weight. £ is currency. Yes, they are pronounced the same".
Oh, and Edinburgh is not pronounced like Pittsburgh.
:p

(Finally... ad infinitum... "blurglarize" logically means to turn someone into a burglar. Burgle, to steal from a house, burglar, one who burgles, burglarize, to make one into a burglar. It really is ad infinitum! :D )

Which would then involve me converting it into lbs because Americans are to good to use the metric system -_-

And thank you for the help Nightblade and Nysha. I'm sure that will help me in writing papers and talking to the professors :)

If they gave a name to that... does it mean that it has been done often enough ?

If so : crazy british people ! :D

Or you could do it directly. 1 stone = 14 lbs ;)

Oh, an it's pronounced Al-YOO-min-I-um - not al-oo-min-um. :p

Just to confuse things....civil engineers mean the bit where the car drives when they talk about pavement! Can't remember what they call the bit the rest of us call pavement (or sidewalk).

Flashlight is a new one on me! :D

DeMontfort University - Leicester, England

It wont be until a year from now. Hopefully if everything works out (I meet all the requirements and all that nice stuff), I'll be chillin' (seriously, it will be cold, i'm sure) over there in about a year.

Oh, yeah. Lathaniel taught me that one when we met up a while back. Was fascinating listening to him say things :)
